I bought my Sentra new in 1994. I have always maintained at or before factory recommendations. My Sentra currently has 230,000 miles on it and still runs great. With the exception of an alternator and CV joints haven't had too many problems. I change the brakes regularly (which are cheap) so haven't had to replace rotors yet. Great little car; I plan to hit 250,000 this year.

This car has made more trips to the mechanic than any other car we own (and we own 5) BECAUSE it's picking up or dropping off the other 4! I have 227,000 miles on it. I have replaced: 1 water pump, 1 alternator, tons of tires, 4 sets of brakes. NOTHING ELSE! Not a powerful car by any means, o.k. comfort wise, starting to rust a wee bit. It's been all over this country and I plan to keep it until it dies (which it seems to be refusing to let go!). Use common sense, change the oil it will treat you just fine.

Reliable overall. I drove many rental cars for work; driving out of the airport home, I'd notice how much sturdier and more powerful the sentra felt than the rental cars. Needed only standard maintenance over the years, but later, had a real problem with the electrical system. After 100K alternator/battery was replaced 3 times over the course of a few months. The car was just dying all over the place. Also on my car & every other 94 Sentra LE i've seen on the street it seems like the hubcaps have fallen off! I sold it at 125K - it was a good car while it lasted.

I have had this vehicle since new and it has been regularly maintained. It has over 204,000 miles on it now with only a few things replaced (CV Joints, starter).

This car was given to me by my mother when I got my license, it is a wonderful first car. At 176,000 miles, it still runs like new and starts up every winter morning. Although it is light, it is good in snow because of its maneuverability. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a super reliable car at a decent price.
