How does the MINI Countryman drive? We tested the electrified Countryman. Mini calls it the SE All4. It's much quicker than the gas-powered version. At our Edmunds test track, our SE All4 test vehicle sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. The electric Countryman is responsive from a red light or passing at highway speeds. Braking is confident and poised, especially under panic stops. The Mini also allows for one-pedal driving. The main gripe remains the ride comfort, which is overly firm. You'll notice every road imperfection, which could make it uncomfortable for some.
Previous versions of the Countryman have always been fun to drive and toss around, and the latest one is no different. From twisty roads to highway driving, the new Countryman retains its signature driving experience and improves on much-needed low-end acceleration.

How’s the tech? Overall, tech features are excellent, but usability is a concern. The high-resolution infotainment OLED screen graphics look sharp and tech features are plentiful. But there are hardly any physical buttons to operate simple features such as climate controls, possibly leading to driver distraction and usability issues. Accessing features in the infotainment menus requires too many steps. We also dislike how Apple CarPlay or Android Auto looks on the screen because the interface is shrunk down to fit within the circular display.
