Flaws everyday
I had a GLE450 for 2 years and it spent almost 4 months in the shop for different repairs. Computer and electronics are awful and MB technicians couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Most unreliable cat ever. Left me in the middle of the street several times. One time I couldn’t turn it off. Many others I couldn’t turn it on. It was a real pain. I lost 20k when I finally got rid of it.

Luxurious, Techy, but a miss in some areas
Overall opinion: I would not buy this car again. I purchased the Mercedes GLE 350 in April, and have put about 6000 miles on it. I waited to write this review to ensure I was being fair with my criticism. Pros: It looks great on the outside, and has very nice comfort amenities including ventilated and massaging front seats, and heated and cooled front cupholders. The main selling point for me was the two large integrated digital touch screens (12.3 inches each) that you use for everything from navigation, to music selection, to personalized setting selections within the car. It is very much like a touch-pad in its abilities, which is the reason I purchased this particular model over others (pre-2020 models did not have the touch capability, and required you to click with a mouse like item on the center console). The technology and sound systems within the car are all top notch with extreme customization. Cons: The built in navigation system, while visually stunning in its detail, is awful. I don't use android auto (for an optioned-out $75k car, you shouldn't have to plug in your phone and use Google Maps) and the navigation routinely grossly over- or underestimates the journey time and best route (if it even finds your location, which about 50% of the time it does not). Also, it often "arrives" at the destination in the middle of a four lane divided highway when your true destination is off a side road in a plaza. If you are used to more detailed explanations from apps like Google maps or Waze, you will not like this navigation system. The Voice Assistant program is frustrating. We have a divided house on this. I hate it, my wife finds it helpful. I think having the activation tied to a word ( 'Mercedes') is nice, but it routinely turns on during conversations in the car (because it mis-hears words that it thinks sound like 'Mercedes', then your conversation is interrupted while you are shouting cancel at the system!). It doesn't have an acceptable level of comprehension, and it is much easier to type the destination in (if you aren't using Google, which you should use instead). I have the voice assistant shut off on my profile. My wife likes it because she often makes hands-free phone calls, can ask it to change the temperature, radio station, etc. The design for storage in the front of the car is terrible. The placement of the wireless charger is too inaccessible to be convenient, so the cupholders are the only real space to put everything you need - phone, drink, keys, hand sanitizer, etc. it is not well designed. The lack of USB plugs is baffling (there are zero) and having to keep the adaptors handy is inconvenient every time you need to charge a device. The lack of running boards. Unless you build the exact car you want prior to purchase, most dealers won't include this as an option for any GLEs on the lot. For my wife who is about 5'4", getting in this car can be challenging. The first few few weeks of owning this car she pulled her groin trying to get in/out of the vehicle at this height, and has even fallen out of the car. The Early Collision Warning system is a great technological addition to the vehicle, but there seems to still be a lot of "kinks" that need worked out. I've had to adjust the sensitivity several times but there is still a high number (5 or 6 instances in 7-8 months) where I'll be sitting at a red light and all the sensors surrounding the vehicle turn red, and the warning sound blares for no reason. There was also a time when I was driving down a highway and the system registered the shadow on the road from an overhead highway sign as a car in front of me and slammed on the brakes. It was quite scary, as there was a car behind me at the time, but thankfully no accident occurred. Obviously driving across shadows is a regular occurrence, so I'm not sure what caused that particular issue, but that's the same problem with the other times with the sensors going off when there is not any obstruction there; we were not able to determine what the causation was. Overall, the car isn't terrible, it just has several irritating features that don't allow you to enjoy driving it, which is very disappointing for a $75k Mercedes. Most of these features you would not notice during a short test drive.

I wouldnt buy this car again.
The day I picked up my car I got a service to return for service. I had to drop my new GLE back to fix it. A couple of weeks later the rear windshield wiper came off. A month or so later I got a recall. The wires in the engine had been wound too tight. I had to take my car back for 24 hours to fix. Today I got another recall. Apparently the trim on the back windows can come off while driving and cause an accident. When I called to take in my car for the recall I mentioned to the receptionist that this is my 3rd recall. Her reply : yep, we are sending a lot of recalls these days, This is my 3rd Mercedes. My experience with my GLE is turning me off generally on Mercedes.

A pricey new entry in a crowded up-scale SUV field
Nice new styling and great digital technology. But vinyl seats on an upscale vehicle? (Suddenly, a $65k car becomes a $75K car.) The base engine is a bit piggy for this beefy vehicle. The dealer advertised a misleading, low price and would not honor the ad. Experience from 2 separate dealers: they are somewhat snooty. I bought a nicely-equipped Audi Q7 at a much lower price.

Comfortable SUV but some flaws
I had the GLE 350 for three full days as a loaner car while my S550 was at the dealership for extended maintenance. The GLE design is handsome and interior is very well laid out. The SUV is surprisingly quick for having just an in-line 4 cylinder engine. The interior lighting borders on gaudy making it look like you’re in a cheap nightclub. Ride was floaty over bumps in the highway. Tried to compensate using sport mode setting but it still was bouncy. Road noise could have been better since the loaner wore cooper tires. Michelin’s would be better in my experience. Surprised to see mercedes use mini USB ports for phone chargers. Had to use the cigarette lighter to charge my iPhone. Phone location on dash is not the best. It’s slotted underneath the center dash stack. Better location is in front of the center console but hard to route charging cord there. MBUX system took some took some time to get familiarize. Liked the options to change display appearance. After a while it didn’t matter and was just a difference in colors being displayed. Birdseye camera view was cool. The front end camera was buggy at times when exiting driveway. Rather than turn off to see navigation map it stayed on. Also, the keyless touch door handle is less responsive than the one on my s-class. Ride was like floating on a firm cloud but seat became uncomfortable during long rides. The seat is bolstered too much in the front corners. I could not get as good a seating position as my s-class. Overall it’s a really nice vehicle and compelling choice for an upscale SUV.

Unreliable Disappointment!
Purchased new in December 2020 and it is being repurchased under the CA lemon law by MB authorized repurchaser, Stericycle. Beautiful car inside and out, but a huge unreliable disappointment. Car has 6600 miles on it, spent 36 days in the shop for the same issue and last night after a series of warning lights flashed on the screen as I was driving it, the engine shut off. I was on a busy road and nearly hit by the car behind me. I was able to slow roll into a parking lot and had to have the vehicle towed off. I hope to never see the car again. I test drove many cars before purchasing it and loved the looks and drive, but the car has been plagued with service issues that MB is not able to remedy.

Super cruiser and everyday car
I’ve owned the 450 since it came out in March 2019 (11 months) and use it on my 40 mile daily commute of highway and city. The stiffer chassis provides a solid fell (like a bank vault) and very quiet (doesn’t need electronic noise suppression). Traveling at 85 mph can feel like 55 mph. The inline-6 engine is a true gem - powerful but very smooth; the MB can easily accelerate up the two long steep hills on my highway commute and the MB can get up to 95 mph on these hills without any strain while other cars max out at 80. Hybrid motor makes the start-stop seamless and provides about 20% gas efficiency per trip. The interior is fantastic looking (lots of comments from others) and I enjoy the MBUX system - a bit complex at first but can be controlled 4 ways, so it takes about 2 weeks to become familiar. The navigation system with Augmented Reality is really useful - the front camera turns on and there are floating arrows to guide you so you don’t mistake your turn. Seats are very comfortable for long trips with good adjustment, plus Comfort package has 4 types of massage and can direct heated seats to certain areas like lower back. Styling isn’t much different then prior generations but does look more muscular when side by side; my neighbor with a Volvo XC60 said it looked intimidating, especially with the 21” wheels. My only nits are: wish the remote start would heat the steering wheel and seats like my former Lincoln MKX; heated seats start lowering itself to off after a certain time (should be manual); running boards are useless except to reach roof rack; and drive shift arm is on the right side of the steering wheel, which is usually the wiper arm in most cars. The only option that I wished I got was the E-Active suspension. The car has been reliable and really creates a nice environment that even traffic jams don’t bother you.

What a Ride!
We ordered a 2020 GLE 450 to replace our 2016 GLE 300d, and after a rather disappointing wait time of over four months, finally took delivery in October. It was worth the wait. The new GLE is beautiful, roomy, quiet, powerful, smooth, and comfortable. I’m glad we went for the six cylinder 450 over the four cylinder 350. The heated seats (front and rear) also warm the center and door armrests, and with the heated steering wheel and rapid warmup of the engine, it’s a real nice place to be on a cold day on the northern plains. The smoothness of the engine and the electric assist makes the auto stop and start almost imperceptible. The standard MB Tex seats are very comfortable, and the extra leg room in the rear is welcome. The interior is beautiful, with natural wood trim and multi colored lighting. There are many options that can run the price up rapidly. Ours stickered at about $74,000, and we’re happy where we ended up. My only gripes are pretty minor. The electronic dash is beautiful, but it takes time to find some information that should be easier to access. For example, I think engine coolant and oil temperature information should be easier to display (how about actual gauges on the dash?) The switches for seat heating are now on the doors, which is less convenient than on the dash or console. We have the air suspension, but there is no clear display of what the current level is. The “Hey, Mercedes” voice recognition feature is cute, but sometimes seems a little silly. This is, without a doubt, the nicest vehicle we have owned in nearly 50 years of buying new and used vehicles, and we are enjoying it a lot. Well done, Mercedes Benz!

GLE 350 not worthy of MB badge
Purchased my 2021 GLE 350 3 months ago. Has been in the shop 3 times and currently schedule for a 4th. The rear fender molding had to be ordered and replaced. It is glued on! The other 2 repairs and the one that is scheduled is for the rear seats. The 60/40 spilt do not fold down evenly. The 60% lowers about 3 inches more than the 40%. Then in the upright position, the same problem. The 4 cylinder engine is loud. The ambient lighting was not very visible during the daytime test drive. MB should have left this for a cheaper brand. Steering is not firm. Car seem to float. I can’t fix Mercedes mistake, but will fix mine. It has to go! This is my 4th MB and likely my last.
doing a lemon law buyback
waiting on dealer response, in shop 4 time for same problem, freon leak that is undetectable.
Unsatisfied
We bought Mercedes Benz 2020 GLE 350 6 days ago June 15, 2020. I am so disappointed with this because the car is not a smooth ride. We have to take it back to the dealer because there are issue with the body so we have to leave the car to fix the body. The ride is so bumpy. I am not happy to get this car and pay $70K.
Worth the money!
Previously, before owning this Mercedes, I had owned a BMW X5. After my X5 became very old, I decided to try the GLE, thinking that is was excellent value compared to other vehicles in its segment such as the Range Rover Sport and Porsche Cayenne. My Mercedes had quite a few options, eventually coming out to 75,000 dollars including taxes. The GLE offers the same, if not more impressive amount of luxury, comfort, and tech for a much more affordable price. To rephrase what I said, a solidly equipped GLE 350 would be the same price if not cheaper than a base model of the Range Rover Sport or Porsche Cayenne. The GLE is also more practical than both of those vehicles, offering optional 3rd row seating which comes with a power adjustable second row seat, something that the Porsche and Range Rover does not even offer. Now, you may be thinking, what about the BMW X5? The BMW X5 definitely drives better than the Mercedes, with sharp handling and a more powerful engine. However, in terms of tech, features, and luxury the BMW does not even come close to terms with the Mercedes. To add on, the BMW also has a starting price of $5,000 more than the Mercedes, and although that may not seem like a lot it does make a difference once you add optional equipment. Reliability has alos been one of the factors that I considered when buying this SUV, and to be quite frank, I have had 0 problems with it so far, and when compared to its other competitors such as the Range Rover Sport, which has always had a reputation for poor reliability, the Mercedes seems like a more sensible purchase.

Be aware of airbag issue
My wife bought a 2020 GLE350 about a year ago. She was happy with car till she has a head on crash last December but airbag did not deploy. The accident caused total lose of the car but MB told us it is normal after they said they have run an investigation. This caused chest pain for my wife for quite a while. I still don't understand how to call it is normal for the crash that has caused total damage on whole front with no airbag in the function. Then why need an airbag. Consult your sale person and your purchase.

Read before you buy MB GLE 350
We bought our 2020 GLE for my wife about a year ago now. All in all, it's a very nice car but I wish I knew more about the car before we bought it, so I thought I’d share what I do & don’t like about it, so here you go: Good: 1- Nice looking. 2- Very comfortable ride and comfortable seats. 3- Solid; well built 4- Very safe! 5- Planted to the road, even with RWD. No slipping in the rain. I was worried about that. Bad: 1- The 4 Cylinder Turbo engine has plenty of power, but it sounds and runs like crap. If you’re used to a V6 you will hate it. I recommend going to the GLE 450- $ about $5K more. 2- The lights are not very good, and they don't illuminate as good as other models like the Lexus or Acura, especially when turning. Spend the extra $900 and get the adaptive lights. You will thank me. 3- The 2nd row seats DO NOT recline! Yep, first SUV that I know off with 2nd row seats that do not recline. This would have been a deal breaker for us if we knew beforehand. Not comfortable for the kids on a long trip. 4- Difficult for two drivers to use the car. The key fob does not store the driver setting. If I want to drive the car after my wife, I have to wait outside until the profile screen is up and then I can change it to my profile. Also, my wife alone can use the app, two people can’t 5- No Cargo net!!! What?? I shopped everywhere to get a decent cargo net with no luck. MB does not offer one. Hope this helps...

Best Overall
I wanted a quiet car that performed well and has a long-standing reputation for excellence. The GLE 350 has amazing technology and the easiest navigation system I have ever used.
first year of redesign.... problems
They were unable to fix problems.( Remote key.Beeping,Etc). I had Car in at least 6 times in 7 months. Finally I traded in, I did not buy a benz!!. I would wait a year till they get the Bugs out.

All the safety features takes all the fun out
Beautiful car but all the safety features take the fun out of driving the car. The car will slow you down if it thinks you getting too close with the car in front of you. I have seen the pros and the cons in that and i would be nice if there was a setting to turn some of those features off. Today a freaking Nissan Rogue smoke me and I saw their tail lights, all because of this car slowing me down when the sensors feel a car or object is too close. The sensors are too sensitive for my liking. Might as well make it a driver-less car. I think this will be my last Mercedes.
Most technologically advanced SUV - MB
This SUV is terrific! I wanted a MB - and glad I waited. This is the most technologically advanced SUV. The ride is smooth, the 4-banger has lots of power (particularly in the sport mode), cabin quite, and has all the bells, whistles and luxury that you would expect from a MB. I am so happy with this SUV - folks always look over to see what I am driving. It is most certainly great for taking the dog to the groomer - so much room for my Giant Schnauzer so that he can be comfortable and enjoy the ride. Love the ability to control everything on the touchpad or the screen or even the steering wheel. Great appointments and large room for a family to take a long ride. I cannot stop wanting to drive my SUV everywhere! Definitely a vehicle to check out!

Love our GLE450
Putting aside the unpleasant sales/negotiating process, we love our GLE specifically the refinement, tech and better than expected gas mileage. Happy that MB brought back the beloved inline 6 motor and paired with the mild hybrid, this motor has plenty of torque and smoothness. The 3rd row seats also offer a decent amount of room, primarily will be used for the little ones. We are enjoying it.

Superior safety features. Interior detail outstanding craftmanship.
Metallic shamrock green!! Now that’s a beauty
I’m not sure why I am seeing so many people complaining about the newly redesigned 2020 GLE... I have had nothing but an amazing experience with it. Yeah the sensors on sides are hyper sensitive but it doesn’t bother me. In fact, it’s helped to keep me wacking my stone mailbox multiple times. It’s an amazing drive, very smooth acceleration and handles perfectly at high rates of speed. It’s my 3rd MB and I love it!

Second Mercedes SUV lemon
I never leave reviews. However my experience with my two Mercedes SUVs were quite terrible. First one was the 2015 ML400. After 3.5 years, this vehicle started stalling randomly when stopped at traffic lights, or waiting to turn (including turning left on busy freeways, motorways). It would stall, and would not start immediately. Quite disconcerting when you have lines of traffic behind you, or are sitting in the middle of a busy intersection turning left, not knowing if the car would restart. Mercedes tried to fix it, but could not. They didn't treat this as the serious issue that it was. They finally let us trade it in for a 2020 GLE 450 after we had to threaten legal action. The first three years were fine with the new 2020 GLE, albeit a few minor irritating issues such as: - no independent heat/air controls in rear seating. All other luxury vehicles have this. - doesn't feel like a luxury car ride. It can be quite rough, bumpy, lots of air noise. - for some reason the camera comes on when vehicle stopped at intersections. So all you can see is the intersection that you are already looking at though the windshield. Mercedes said "this is just the way it is". You can back out of the camera view, but why does it do that anyway? Even Mercedes had no answer. - if using the navigation and playing something through the media, the media is still playing away while navigation is talking. I have not been in any other car that does this. Usually the media halts playing while navigation talks. - Navigation is not great. It seems to get confused a lot and takes us in circles, requiring us to use our phones to get somewhere. - wireless charger is useless if you have an oversize phone or a phone case on phone. - we had at least one, usually two safety recalls EACH year that we have owned this car. Mercedes appears to let customers discover the safety issues. - adaptive headlights don't work despite being assured by Mercedes that they do. - Breaks squeak horribly. After about three years more issues emerged with the 2020 GLE450. I will list them. - ongoing terrible sunroof rattle which is still not fixed despite MANY visits to the dealership. Mercedes acknowledged that this was a known issue that develops with this model. Of course it is not mentioned when sold to you. - terrible creaking noise from steering wheel despite MANY visits to dealership - various rattles and noise from cockpit of car. Sounds like a 15 year old clunker even though it is 4 year old luxury vehicle. It feels like the whole vehicle starts loosening up after you have it a few years. We only drive in the city, not off road so definitely quality issue. - after a software update, the car started to violently and strongly yank the car back into lane, even it you were trying to get in that lane. This happened several times when we were trying to avoid a vehicle swerving into our lane. A few feet difference and we would have hit those vehicles due to our car over-riding our steering. To us, this is a serious safety hazard. We took it to dealership, but they said this was a feature of the car. Again, a big shoulder shrug from Mercedes. - random indicator lights coming on telling us there was an issue with something in the car, but turned out there was not after taking car in (again and again). We are now selling this car, and moving to a different luxury brand. Three times will not be the charm for us with Mercedes. We won't miss our visits to the service department.
2020 Mercedes GLE 350
What a wonderful SUV.! Like driving in your Living Room. First impressions... The Turbo 4 is more than adequate, no matter what you may need...Soild like a rock, Transmission is flawless, the interactive system Mbux is amazing but I can turn up the AC faster than asking " Hey Mercedes. I love the Apple Car Play and the readouts of the received texts and the ability to answer them using voice instead of typing. So many choices to customize the dash board and interior colors. The cameras and overhead view is very cool and the wide angle of the reverse cam is amazing. The Mbux system is amazing but I find it easier to lower the AC by hand then having to say "Hey Mercedes" "How can I help you" But hey it's fun and has other serious features. One of the best parts is it learns your voice. It is an electronic marvel on so many levels. But these electronic marvels are not standard equipment. And as a buyer you have to choose. Keep in mind my Sticker Price was 62,000 but you easily can build an 85,000 version. Some of these optional features are standard on Kia and Hyundai. Especially Park by Key fob. The Benz parks but the Dealer's Salesman said "at your own risk." But others which should be standard in 2020 come at a hefty premium. "Hey Mercedes " knock it off...those days a past, especially when features like, Active Cruise Control , Lane Keeping and more are standard on a 2019 middle level Accord. If you want a bigger look get the 20 inch wheels and you need the running boards to complete the picture even though they are too small to put your foot on requiring you to rub the back of your ankle on the board while reaching the road.. Here is some things they missed. The rear seat back has only one position. This takes up cargo space by not allowing you to make the seat stay upright. The other miss is no cargo net hooks. This is my 2000 mile report. By the way my vehicle had a 62,000 sticker price. 7000 mile report. All good love the vehicle one flaw is the rain sensing wipers sometimes wipe the window when it is dry when starting the car. Dealer is at a loss and agrees this is a problem. 14000 mile report. The Car is wonderful. no problems that require service except 2 minor recalls. As for the technology a few weird occurrences. Found the windows rolled down half way when parked coming back from a store. This has happened twice. Once started car but the entire display was not available (their words) As said before the rain sensing wipers need a complete re engineering or programming. Great Car one more year on the lease to go,

Gorgeous and solid car
As a techy and after 8 weeks of research, I couldn’t be happier. There’s enough tech and solid raw SUV features, power and convenience to keep me happy for years. Background: I have driven different Mercedes vehicles for over 15 years and thought to change it up this year. I test drove several other brands, noted their merits and thought I saw a few contenders In Lincoln, Audi, Range Rover, and Volvo. When I returned to test drive the Mercedes GLE 350 one last time, simply nothing compared. Nothing! I love this car and have already been on a 300+ mile road trip on Day 1.

Awesome 2020 Improvements -
The touch screen controls and ride softening improvements have surpassed my expectations. I loved my 2016 GLE, and was surprised to find the 2020 was so much better. I traded in my 2019 Audi Q7 without a 2nd thought. Engine is peppy, ride is smoother, and car is quieter, with a stronger feel inside. You did good Mercedes

thanks Covid-19
well due to covid I had to, pretty much buy whatever they had and not whatever I wanted. Although my car was preowned it only had 3000 miles. but it has some issues that according to dealer are quite normal. doors will not unlock. unless that the key is on my hand. so I have to dig them out of my purse and hold it close to the door. sometimes it will not start either unless I have it close to the middle. this is quite inconvenient. the driver door almost never closes right. and there's Oslo the fact that if I leave the car on and walk away I cannot lock it. someone has to lock it from the inside. well I did not learn my lesson went back to mercedes after selling this one and got an even more expensive 2023 GLE 53 AMG. again had to buy the only one they had on the lot because they hod no other options. on Feb of 2023. this one has rough braking issues. per Delaer nothing wrong with it only after maybe 3 or 4 months trading value upside down was 40k. do needless to say I am married to this car.

Love my new SUV “2020 GLE 350 ”.
Love my new crossover full size SUV. Mercedez Benz 2020 GLE 350 4MATIC . Mercedes-Benz Laguna Hills. The color is unique heavy metallic dark forest green stands out in a world of land colored vehicles. AMG sports package, exterior body kit it’s awesome. The beautiful dark brown leather interior blends well with the dark green exterior paint. This car looks low and sleek but it’s dark tinted windows. The four-cylinder 2.0 L turbo boost is quick on the punch. The engine is quite enough for this vehicle. It climbs long steep mountain grades with ease. Average 23 miles per gallon highway. It’s rear tires are white and mean looking, the handling of this SUV around corners and city streets is the best I’ve ever had in an SUV. This vehicle is a keeper.

Outstanding SUV
Love this vehicle. Excellent road handling, maneuverability, acceleration, stopping are as good as it gets. Only minor criticism is lack of complete smooth ride on rough road and some wind noises get through on bad weather days.

Best driving car in its class.
Drove the GLE 350 and it was underpowered always operating at high revs, once trying the 450 it was the sweet spot of comfort, power, room and safety. Had a lexus RX450 and BMW X5e and like this better for its power comfort roomy interior. The back seat is just too small in BMW and Lexus. Can comfortably seat 4 adults without adjusting front seats and a car seat is no problem. Same car seat in the X5 and kids legs are hitting the front seats. Plus plenty of space this the rear cargo area. The car sounds great and is incredibly planted and just king of the road on the highway not too soft/ not too firm- perfect. Mileage has been good and love having such a large gas tank. 500+ highway miles on a fill up. Purchased CPO+ extended warranty had an issue with radar cruise control and replaced the front facing camera under warranty. Tech takes about 3 weeks to adjust too and is way beyond others. Wish carplay was full screen like BMW rather than a square on display. We’ll see how it holds up through the end of the warranty. Lexus overall did have better fit and finish, but didn’t have the tech, drive feel, mileage range or roominess the Mercedes has for an equivalent vehicle at the time of purchase. And again have never been in a smoother riding vehicle than this.

BMW is better
Too many distractions and voice command works intermittently. Overly complicated layout. The start button placement is odd and so is the steering heat button, they might as well put the steering heat button in the rear seat! ME Connect app is a joke. Ride quality is good but the V4 does show the lag during start times. Same HP, BMW does a fantastic job.

Phenomenal SUV
I bought. 2020 GLE 450 CPO from Mercedes Tampa. My wife and I always prefer to buy CPO as it ensures the kinks are already worked out and the extended warranty is best in the industry (unlimited miles, 3 additional years). I came from a 2015 GL450 and this vehicle is such a huge step forward in driving dynamics, technology, comfort, everything. The inline 6 with with mild hybrid is unbeatable. It’s just butter smooth. I had the chance to rent a gle350 and it seems like there are several differences besides just the engine from 350 to 450. It seems like the steering is better, acoustics are better, and maybe even the suspension (we don’t have the air suspension, but I swear the 450 just feels better, could be the weight of the engine + mild hybrid creates a more damped ride). Road trips in this vehicle are a dream. You realize after several hours of driving that you get to your destination and are refreshed instead of exhausted. Also, make sure to have the drivers assistance package as driving on the highway with the amount of traffic the car is able to adjust and keep your pace from the car ahead and also keep the car centered. It’s worth it. The only car I would get that I would consider an upgrade to this would be the new plug in hybrid as the higher power electric motors would make it more powerful in acceleration and improve mpg as long as you plug in regularly. However mpg in the GLE 450 is really good for its size. I average 21mpg combined and 25mpg on Highway trips. For such a heavy car that is impressive.
