This is my third Miata. The '92 has the roughest ride out of the three. I also spend a lot of time finding and securing rattles which was not a problem on the others. 3/4 visibility is nonexistent with the top up. The trunk did leak water. The shifter is notchy and not very smooth. This apparently is common in the early models. Now for the good. This car is over 10 years old and more reliable then my '99 Jeep wrangler. Very fun to drive. Handles great. Convertible. I test drove the z3 and mr2 and still plan on buying a new miata. They are just better cars.

Excellent Vehicle

Since it's purchase in 2000, this car has been my daily driver and has showed it's reliability time and again. It's made 2 trips from Florida to San Antonio, Texas, many trips from SA to Dallas and back, and constant "hard" driving with little or no problems not related to general maintanence. When I look for a new car, another Miata will be on my list.

We are very pleased with the little car's perfomance, but on swow it would not behave. Most recently its tiers were replaced out went the old yokos and in came the bridgestone potenzas, WOW uphill on snow and ice, better than an SUV. Have low milage and had no repairs, exelent gas milage and plenty of fun.

Driving is an end in itself in a miata

I have never had a problem with my miata. With the hardtop, it even pulls me through St. Louis winters. Sunny days, and cool nights open up miles of enjoyment and this car always is able to perform. Acceleration is good, but handling is where this vehicle shines. Truly awakening the driver in anyone, this lightweight car sticks to the road to provide hours of fun.

I have always had convertibles, but never a miata. I have not been disappointed. This car has been very reliable. It is a little shaky on long distance driving but, the gas mileage is worth it. I have had to replace the clutch and radiator but other than that everything has been great!
