If you can't afford a Jaguar

Lease expired on our beloved 2007 Mazda3 Touring. Checked out the 2010 3's and could not get past the homely grill. Test drove new Sonata and Camry. The Sonata is pretty and handles well, but the GLS feels like the economy car it is. The Camry (even in sportier SE trim) was not much fun to drive. The Fusion, Accord, Altima and Legacy styling do not move the pulse rate. If you put a leaping cat on the 6, it could be mistaken for a Jag. One car editor said it drove like a Jaguar XF. So what's the down side? The cloth seats are not that comfortable. The lumbar support does not hit me in the right place. Cheap Walmart seat cushions fixed that. Stereo is just okay. Mileage is mediocre.

I have been very dissatisfied so far with the 2010 Mazda 6. I have the Manual sport edition. My major complaint is the throttle lag. My 1998 Corolla with 160K miles had better acceleration. Other complaints, the car shudders when reversing, the hand brake doesn't work well, the temperature control is not great and the car bottoms out very easily, I have to go extremely slowly over speed bumps. I highly recommend taking for an extended test drive before purchasing

I just traded my 08' Avalanche in for something that had better gas mileage (14.7 avg) .I stumbled across a 2010 M6 with one owner and had 66k on the clock. I have to say the first time i drove it i was impressed. I am 6'3 and also have always considered myself a "Spirited Driver" this thing really moves. I had an 03 Nissan Altima 3.5 and the M6 hands down would flat out smoke it. The ride is a bit firm but i like feeling of being connected to the car. Long drives are now fun again. I am finding new places to go now with the improved gas mileage (23.5) and love the ability to switch gears in Manual mode (6 gears to choose from). Torque steer was a killer on the Nissan but Mazda somehow makes this non-exsistent. There is never a time where i feel i am pushing the car hard,it seems to accommodate any driving mood you are in. It can get groceries and in the same breath can take windy roads with athletic agility. I really enjoy the M6 and was priced much lower than most cars but outruns them all. If you can get the V6, snatch it up! UPDATE 6/24/20 Still rolling as noted above. I have upgraded the brakes, tires and had spark plugs changed at 75k. She still performs well and fun to drive, no complaints

I wrote my first review shortly after I got this car in late November, 2010 (see posting below: "Great car if you like large"). Anyway, this is still functioning as a great car for me. It still seems too large, but I cannot complain about much at all. It's got almost 30K miles and the only trips to dealer service have been for tire/wheel rotations; I do my own oil change-really easy to do on this car. I love the car for long road trips; it's quiet, has power (not a lot extra, but certainly enough), and is really comfortable.

I purchased the Mazda 6 back in October 2010. Have around 24,000 miles Never had any major problems with it so far. I just changed my front brakes after 20,000 miles. Has pretty good pick- up for a 4 cylinder. Drives very well on the highway. Very large trunk and a roomy back. I would highly recommend this car to any perspective buyers.
