Not happy!

A shame to have put this product out without the turbo. Gutless in my opinion. Downshifts at first sight of grade and hold the lower gear too long. I just tap the throttle and may get an up shift of up to two gears once cresting a hill. Overall fuel burn is a bit less than the Sorento on flat stretches. If one has many hillls in his travels the Sorento is a better choice. I still find the seats in both the Sorento and Sportage uncomfortable on long drives , 2hrs plus.

Loving my 2024 Kia Sportage X-Line

Our new Kia Sportage is the fourth Kia we have owned over the years. I love the Kia line, the reliability and warranties. Wasn't sure about getting a smaller vehicle, but there is no going back. I just love everything about this little SUV. The first week, I had to drive 50 miles through a horrible storm. My Sportage handled it like a champ. The car drives like a cross between the Audi A4 and Mini Cooper Countryman we had owned in the past. It's quick and easy to maneuver through the horrible Central Florida traffic. Oh, and did I mention, it's All Wheel Drive with an easy-to-use dash panel and no outside road noise. This one is a keeper for sure.

It’s comfortable and easy to enter and exit. The design is a cut above and the look is unique. I did the black with the red interior, when people see it for the first time it screams luxury. The seating is spacious and comfortable front and back. The sound system is excellent as well!

X-Line specific review

I purchased my 2024 Kia Sportage X-Line about a month ago. I have put approx 2,000 Miles on this SUV as I write this review. I wanted to make sure I got a decent amount of driving in before sharing my experience. I'll start out with, PROS • Very visually appealing car both on the inside & the outside. Considering it's a brand new car only costing about $34K, it looks amazing. I love the fact it has quilted leather seats & a huge touch screen. My model is white & I love the black trim. It's definitely not an eye sore in any way. • The drive is very smooth & I didn't find it to be a "loud drive". I took my mom for a drive & she told me it felt like we were "floating", but I think that's because she's use to driving a 2005 SUV. • The sound system the X-Line comes with is impressive. It's a lot louder & "base-y" than other cars I have driven/been in. • This SUV takes regular unleaded fuel which is GREAT because the post of premium gas is unreal. Despite these nice features listed above, I did give this SUV a 2 🌟 rating for a reason. So, here are the CONS • In this SUV it will tell you the approximate miles you have remaining before you're out of gas. I don't believe that it is accurate at all. I usually do an 80 mile drive (one-way) twice a week. I will fill my gas tank up completely, with my car stating I can go approx 375 miles. By the time I end my journey, my car will tell me I have approximately 260ish miles remaining. This drive is almost entirely highway with no stops, so in my opinion this indicates some sort of error in the cars recognition of how far I can actually drive on one tank of gas. I'm not a car guru but 35 mile difference seems important. • Although I did point out the sound system as a positive, I would also say it's a negative. You can't turn it up all the way without some of the music making a terrible high pitched sound. • The built in GPS with this SUV is an absolute joke. I live in a large city for the state I live in. So any normal online map will have most places available to search. However that is not the case for this GPS. I tried to type in the location of a building that has existed for far longer than I have, & this map could not find it. This has happened before too when I was trying to locate a church I was asked to visit about a week before this. So, the map is not reliable or helpful. I don't use it at all. I use my phone. • Like with most cars now you are able to answer calls & voice respond to texts. Although you can with this car, it's not great at it. Most of my calls I get "feedback" during. Meaning, I can hear myself talking. The person on the other end says I usually sound like I'm under water. So I'll just take it off "Sportage" mode and use my phone on speaker. Also, when trying to voice respond to text messages, it's not even worth it. English is my first language & I live in the PNW. So I don't have an accent. Despite that, this SUV still cannot form a complete sentence. Instead, I have to pull over & respond by texting if it's an important message. • There is an option for "Auto-Climate", which is great if i ever felt like using it... however, I do not want to use it. So I don't turn it on. I think maybe the car thinks I do have it on though??? Because the fan speed increases/decreases randomly & the temperature definitely is not consistent. Honestly, I just hope this SUV holds up in the snow well because if it doesn't, then I feel like I will have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on a vehicle that is nothing compared to my previous one (A 2016 Kia Optima). So let's hope it does that. If it handles in the snow well, I would change this rating to 3 🌟 Overall, if you live in a dry (non-slippery) environment, I wouldn't recommend this vehicle at all. I wish I would have shopped around more before purchasing. I hope this helps!
