I got this car at the end of May and now it is the beginning of August. First the Radio started to cut off for no reason. Then came all the other problems: Engine Check Light, Transmission Light, Car cutting itself on,etc. Please do yourself a favor and don't purchase this car. I'm going to get a Hyundai because I never ever had a problem with their cars.

Most Comfortable Ride in its Class!!

I am 6' 3" and this SUV had the most leg and sholder room and comfortable seat in its class. I test drove all the competition before I bought and the Jeep Compass had the best ride and most room of them all hands down. I am also very impressed with quality and the styling of the interior. The Jeep was also less money with the same features as most of the competition I tested, bonus!!

Not the best experience I've ever had.

I bought this car new and 6 days after I bought it there was fluid and smoke coming from under the engine and exhaust. The dealer said it was the fill and drain plugs in the PTU. So 2 weeks and 2 days later they called and said it was fixed. I picked it up and drove it maybe 10 miles and at a stop light smoke started rolling out from under it again. Way worse than the first time, and oil was pouring out of the PTU seal. They took the car for another 8 days and they finally got it fixed. So I have a car with 500 miles on it and owned it for a little over a month, and only had possession for 9 days

I bought my compass new may 3, 2018. This is July 25, 2018. 5 times I have gotten in my car, and it would not start!! The car acts like is on, but it is not. This will be my 3rd time having it back at the dealership. They keep telling me they can’t get a code to pop up on it!! The second time they had my car almost 3 weeks! This is ridiculous!!!!!!!! I will NEVER buy another Jeep! Very disappointed!!! I called Jeep directly and they basically blew my complaint off and told me that I would have to deal with dealership that sold me the car.

Beware of oil consumption

2.4 consumes massive amount of oil. Bought brand new and was initially very happy. One day as my wife and child were taking a left turn the vehicle shut off. I called the dealership and took it in. They advised the engine had around 1 quart of oil remaining...after 7k miles(2k miles after the first oil change). They filled the oil and said to come in after 1k miles for a consumption test. Before bringing it in I checked and noted that it needed 1 quart. They advised a half quart was burnt and to bring it back in 3k miles again. Extremely disappointed with dealership and corporate. At this point it is a safety hazard and has been in the shop 3 times so far. They want me to keep bringing it in for consumption tests...this is a brand new car. If I continue to follow their service advice the mileage will make the vehicle exempt for lemon law buy back. Will be consulting with an attorney
