Very happy with this jeep
Have the V6 for towing. Very comfortable car, quiet and smooth ride on the highway. Get about 25 mpg on the highway going 75 mph, and 22 mpg around town or combined. So far no complaints. Shifts can be a little strange sometimes especially when starting up, but they smooth out after warming up.

GOOD JEEP
The car is very driver friendly. The cruise control is very responsive. If the passenger seat was identical to the driver's seat, the Jeep would have been great. After two long trips to Florida, we experienced a comfortable ride. Highway mileage is great but city mileage is only fair. There is a problem with Jeep. When driving in snow/icy conditions, one needs to keep the sensors from icy up. When they do, automatic braking is activated. This is no fun on the interstate.

Beware
I purchased my Jeep last year brand new. It hasn’t been a year yet and it’s cut off on me 3 times already. The truck only has 19,000 miles on it! The 1st time it cut off I was at a stop light, the 2nd time I was at a stop sign, the 3rd time my vehicle was moving in traffic and it stopped. I had to call a tow truck and get towed to the dealership I purchased it from. As soon as the tow truck driver got there he wasn’t at all surprised about what was going on. His response was, I’ve been towing so many of these cars. He said that seems like they just shut off when you’re almost or overdue for an oil change! That’s craziest thing I’ve ever heard of! My car will cut off if I’m “almost” due for an oil change. So the dealership kept my car and looked at it for a couple of days. The got back to me and guess what they had to say... We went ahead and did your oil change and topped you off.. It looks like your engine is going through oil way to fast because your engine stick was completely dry! I can’t believe that this has happened to me. The tow truck driver was right!

I wanted to love it.
Bought our ‘18 Cherokee Limited from a Jeep dealer as a certified pre-owned in Sept ‘18. It is May ‘19 & we have traded it despite negative equity because of the maintenance hassles. Had to have it towed twice because the engine shut down. According to the dealer (the second time), that happens if the oil is too low. First problem - there were never any warning lights to indicate a problem. Second problem - a check of the instruments showed greater than 30% oil life both times. Third problem - we were not warned about this feature when purchased or the first time it stalled out in traffic. The second time it was towed, the dealer “didn’t have time to do an oil change, but put a couple quarts in, no charge.” This was when they told me that the stalling was just a safety feature. How is it safe to stall out in a busy highway with no warning? The final issue was that two of the tires had to have air added at least twice a week. These were the original manufacturer installed tires. The dealer offered to make a deal on new ones, but washed their hands of doing more, even though we found & reported the issue in the first two weeks of ownership. This was a fun car to drive, is beautiful, and handles like a dream. Wasn’t worth all the aggravations & feats of it stalling again with no warning. And the gas mileage if you’re a heavy driver? Not good.
