Very practical - the right choice for us
This is one heck of a value: well built, well designed and well priced. Sure, it lacks some of the "luxury" touches you find on other makes - HID, memory seats, Bluetooth, wood trim - but for us these items were not worth the extra $8k - $10 even though we can afford it. Put it in the 529 for the yutes
Poor Man's MDX
The Pilot drives/handles better than the 03 MDX Premium it replaced. The road manners and feel in the wheel are better. The rake of the windshield is less, providing better all around visibility.

Great vehicle!
Very comfortable to drive or ride in, versatile with cargo space or flip up the 3rd row seating and V6 adds plenty of power. The only knock is low gas mileage in comparison to similar vehicles.
I brake for honda
The pilot is very comfortable and has a good motor. It has enough power for me. Though, sometimes it really doesn’t want to upshift going up hills. The only problem I have is stopping power. The brakes are weak on this car. You really need to make sure you are paying close attention to cars in front of you because stopping distance is much longer than you are probably used to driving a more modern car. My only other complaint is the whole ABS / traction control system. I had a bad wheel speed sensor that my local mechanic did diagnose, but he needed a special Honda computer to clear the codes so that the car could reengage the ABS /traction control system. Honda dealer charged over $100 just to do the computer work. Luckily, that only happened once, but it is something to keep in mind that you likely will have to service this vehicle at the dealer for any electrical issues. And make sure you use Japanese OEM electrical parts in this car. I had to replace all the plugs and coils. Just buy Denso oem ones. The car will run better. The only other annoying thing is the AC system. Every time you turn the hvac system on it always defaults to turning the AC compressor on, even if you just want fresh air. You always have to remember to press AC to turn compressor off. Otherwise you will notice the power loss and fuel economy hit.

Honda's are your Best Value
I only just picked up my Pilot 4 days ago (2007)and I am thrilled with it! I test drove the Highlander and even though the outside is attractive, the comfort of driving one even for a test drive just didn't cut it for me. I wanted more from my vehicle for the price range. I went with the Pilot since it was over $8,000 cheaper. I know I made the right decision after bringing home the Pilot and driving it.
