strut problem
I had to have both front struts replaced within 2 weeks of my purchase. The warranty took care of it and the dealership gave me a rental. I was a major inconvince, but I would still purchace another one. I hope I do not have any future problems.
THE PILOT WON
WE COMPARED 8 SUV'S IN THIS PRICE RANGE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON FOREIGN MADE. WE WERE GETTING RID OF A 99 TAHOE WHICH WAS A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT. WE CHOSE THE PILOT AND WHAT A GREAT DECISION. WE LOVE IT. HIGH QUALITY, A DREAM TO DRIVE, GOOD MILEAGE, AND IT'S A HONDA! WE LOVE IT.

for a SUV w/ 3rd row seats, the best
we needed a 3rd row of seats... and after evaluating all of them from the volvo xc90 to the mercedes ML, the honda was definitely the best bang for the buck deal. but, even w/out considering costs, it still came out ahead b/c the 3rd row was the most functional.
Quality Head to Toe
This screams top quality. From head to toe you notice the spit and polish put into this vehicle. From the higher set roof for headroom and large windows all throughout for greater visiblity, to the incredible cornering and turning. This is a mini-van replacer for sure. Do yourself a favor and test drive this vehicle, you'll thank me later. :-)
Honda Pilot
The Pilot is an Acura MDX in sheeps clothing. It is closs to 10k less for the same vehicle.
my pilot
I was very impressed with the pilot after driving a passport for 3 yrs.It was bigger and more comfortable
BEST IN CLASS
WE TRADED A 2001 VOLVO CROSS COUNTRY V- 70 FOR OUR PILOT. WE HAVE FOUND THE PILOT TO BE SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY TO THE VOLVO. THE COMFORT, HANDLING AND SUPERIOR QUALITY FEATURES TO BE ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE OVER THE VOLVO. WE HAVE HAD MERCEDES IN THE PAST AND HAVE FOUND THE PILOT TO COMPARE IN MANY WAY TO THE QUALITY OF THOSE CARS. WE CAN PULL IT BEHIND OUR MOTORHOME TOO.
the one and only - Pilot
After many disagreements, my husband finally talked me into getting an SUV. We did our research got a Pilot. Now I think I would think twice before getting back into a sedan. The ride is smooth, there is plenty of room and overall it is very comfortable for long trips (we've traveled about 16000 miles in it in about 7 months).
Honda Pilot
I traded my CRV for a new Pilot and wow what a difference. I gave up better gas mileage for much more greater comfort. I have no problems with my Pilot
Love My Pilot!
Great ride and features
WOW
Shopped around for months and settled on the Pilot based on reviews/word of mouth. Simply put, I could not ask for more in a family SUV. Not only do you feel extremely safe, but the ride is a dream for such a rugged vehicle. Handling is fantastic and the ride is smooth and quiet. DVD is a must for the kids and the heated seats are a nice touch for 2004.
Awesome

Love Hondas
I did a great deal of research before buying my 2004 Honda Pilot. My first Honda was an 1989 Accord and I never owned a better more reliable vehicle. I always said when Honda made a Mid- size SUV, I'd be all over it. They made one and I bought it. I'm very happy with the car and feel secure and safe when driving alone or with my family of 5.
Good car w/ minor flaw
After dealing w/ a Ford for 3 yr, having the Pilot is a welcome relief. It is GREAT to drive- comfortable, smooth, good turning radius. The size is a bit cumbersome to park, but I expected that. Good fuel economy for a SUV. My only gripe: you hear a noise under the car from the fuel moving in the gas tank. Does not affect the car's performance or handling, but is a little irritating. I'm told by Honda that this noise is a result from the fuel tank design.
Perfect!!
This is the nicest SUV on the market. Perfect in every way. I paid $1900.00 under msrp. Dealers will deal on them.
One Word - Great
There is a 1000% difference in going from a Nissan Quest to a Pilot. My wife and I are always competing to drive the car. It is smooth, powerful, great handling, and comfortable. The kids even love the third row (though no adult would). Excellent sound system tops it off.
Almost perfect
I just love this SUV! Drive is smoooth and quiet, lots of power, lots of room. View is great, there is a lot of windshield. Gas mileage isn't wonderful, but I knew it wouldn't be when I bought an SUV, so can't complain. Drove in a freezing rain/snow mix recently, very well behaved, good traction and braking.
Outstanding-reccomend to all!
Love this truck. Great safety features. Great ride. Very powerful. Someone previous mentioned problems over 70 which we did not encounter. Round trip out of state doing approx. 80 mph the whole time and was smooth as if we were doing 20mph.
Snow
It Just Snowed 18 Inches here in the North East And I did not Have my drive way cleared. No Need to. The Pilot handeled the snow with ease. Even my wife hade an easy time driving it in the snow. She back down into the yard, by mistake but no problems, she drove right out. I was amazed. I have been snow plowing for 3 years and that thing handeled the snow better than any truck I drove.
Great CrossOver Vehicle
Used to have a Dodge G. Caravan and traded it with the 04 Pilot. No regrets!!! We love the ride & comfort. My 2 yr. old like to ride it always. Long drive??? No problem, very smooth ride, like a luxury car. I would surely recommend to anyone looking for a crossover vehicle. Never buy again Dodge vehicles they have a lot of problems.
Love it!
Just took delivery of my new 2004 Pilot EX-L w/ DVD to replace a 2003 Explorer. This vehicle is great, plus I got it for a great price (less than TMV - $400 over invoice). Very pleased so far even though I've only put about 50 miles on it.
Exellent
the gas tank is a bit short so, one has to go to the gas station often. I would love to see a hybrid version.
the best suv
the best suv i have driven so far. its roomy and drives like a car.
HAPPY WITH THE PILOT
OUR LAST 3 PRIMARY VEHICLES HAVE BEEN HONDAS..FIRST ACCORDS AND NOW THE PILOT.WE LOVE THE WAY IT HANDLES..PARKS ALMOST LIKE THE ACCORD.MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH LIKED IT FROM THE FIRST DRIVE.
HAPPY PILOT OWNER
I have had my Pilot for about a month now. Just Love It! Traded in my Accord with 178,000 miles on it, and still going strong. Had to get another Honda, can't beat the quality. My wife and I both love to drive it. The best way I can describe the ride is it feels like you are "driving a Lazyboy". Alot of good features for the money. Lots of storgage. Nice sound system. Did alot of reasearch on SUV's and the Pilot ranks as one of the best. We are a Honda family and the Pilot is another fine example of the high quality, fine autombiles that we have come to expect from Honda. Go test drive one, you'll have a hard time leaving without it!
honda pilot - 2004
The car is a pleaure to drive and handles heavy snow conditions very well. Quality seems second to none. Only have about 2500 miles on it. It also has great excelleration.
Love My Honda
Easy to drive, fun to go on trips in. kids love all the room and the entertainment center ( head phones, dvd/cd). It has so much room inside no one feels cramped. Plenty of storage. Went from a CR-V ( which I loved ), to a Pilot.
Great Family Car
It is better than the American SUV's on Fuel Economy and style. My last car was a Mini Van and this is the Mini Van of the 21st century.
GREAT FAMILY VEHICLE
VERY VERSITALE AND GREAT RIDE. AS ALWAYS HONDA RELIABILITY IS GREAT AND QUALITY IS TOP NOTCH. GOT THIS EARLY IN YEAR SO DEALER HAD UPPER HAND IN PRICE HAGGLING.....
vroom vroom
I like it alot.
love it!
I love my Pilot. Compared to other SUV's I drove and have tested, the Pilot feels like you are driving a car! It is especially roomy and my husband fits comfortably as a passenger in the front and back at 6 '5!! The 3rd row comes in handy too and everyone who gets it always comments on how spacious the interior is.
Amazing
This suv handles like a car. I would definately buy this suv again.
Excellent
The fuel economy is probably better than most, the seat comfort is great. A solid drive.
Excellent SUV
I've had this vehicle for two months and I absolutely love it. It's roomy, comfortable and fun and easy to drive.
Wow What A Vehicle !!!
Have my 04 Pilot for 5 months, absolutely love it. Comfortable ride, handling, roomy interior, and impeccable fit and finish. Researched mid-size SUV's. Nothing comes close to The Pilot. All were more pricey after adding comparable options.
A garage saler's DREAM VEHICLE!
We've driven this 5,000 miles so far, and are very pleased with the Pilot. The only problems so far are the uncomfortable headrests, and the fact that the seats don't recline fully as they do in a Dodge Caravan. We bought Honda for its name, though, because we've had good luck with them in the past - our 1991 Honda Accord has 250,000 miles on it and is still going strong!
My awesome Pilot
I love my Pilot! I have told many people that all I need now is a stewardess. This drives like every Honda car I have ever had - smooth! But it is an SUV. I would encourage anyone looking for an SUV to drive the Pilot before you buy anything else!!!
DADO
Its a good car. I love it!
Pilot Perfect
We are surprised at the Pilots rear (third row) seating capacity. Honda redesigned the center row (2nd row) seats so that they are able to move forward and backward (that is they are no longer stationary). This enables third row passengers to have as much room as second row passengers. Overall, we love the Pilot. We also have a Honda Odyssey, but my wife enjoys the Pilot even more. She like the better handling, and stiffer ride that the Pilot provides. The back row of seats are very easy to configure. We can't wait to get our second pilot.
great car
Being retired we travel alot. The Honda Pilot was a great fit for our needs. Good ride, reliable, and plenty of room. We take kayaks, bicycles, and camping gear. The third seat is great for grandkids and a third couple for short trips. We love our Honda Pilot BUT wish the gas milage was better.
Drives Great
I love this car, it is reliable, drives quiet and smooth. I traded in a BMW X5 which handled alittle better, but drove harder and was noisier. The navigation system could use some simplification, but overall for the price this SUV is a best buy.
Pilot great all-around vehicle
We get 25 mpg/highway (70-75 mph), 19 mpg average. Plenty of power, plenty of room in front and middle row, although third row is strictly for kids. Handles well on the highway and secondary roads but it's not made for driving fast on back roads. Uses 5W/20 oil, which might be hard to find. Changing the oil filter is a breeze, a first in 32 years of driving. We have the DVD player and the kids absolutely love it. We live on a mile-long dirt road and it handles that well, goes great in the CT snow. All the luxury of the Acura MDX with more room and a lower price.
Love my Pilot
I searched for two years for a new car. After researching on the web, I was convinced Honda Pilot was the one for me. They are sharp looking and easy to handle. The dealership was great to work with. I went to three different Honda dealerships and negotiated the best price. This is the first Honda I have owned.
2004 pilot with dvd
I read many reviews of different suv's and test drove two but settled on the pilot. It seems to be the best value for the money with many features standard with the leather dvd package. The ride is very comfortable and much quieter than I expected after reading earlier reviews. I am very satisfied with this suv and do recommend it to others.
Keep on going
My polit contiunes to suprise me everytime I drive. I recently went on a long trip and drove my poilt, it was an 14hr trip and I did not feel tired after the drive. In fact I could of drove anther 8hrs and still would of felt rested. I love my SUV.
It's incredible........
Have had the car for nearly 5 mos. It's incredible. Great handling...like a car but with features of an SUV. Lots of leg and head room. Comfortable on the long hauls, too. And, it's peppy! Great pick up when I'm merging onto the highway.
uncomfortable seats
like the car in many ways, but I find the seats hit me mid leg and cause worse leg fatigue. the center console being open catches way to many things and is sloppy. The performance of the car is reliable, one of the best I drove when I was looking.the navigational system is wrong often.and the voice is annoying.the seats don't fold down flat.seats are not heated..
Honda Pilot
The 2004 Honda Pilot is a fun vehicle to drive. Though we only bought it a month ago and with 1010 miles on it I would rate the vehicle a '10'. The engine is quiet, the ride is very comfortable, the 240 hp engine feels like an engine with a higher hp. Great passenger space that sits 8. Under the hood is a very clean set up of its engine, etc. The leather trimmings' quality of work is excellent compared to American made SUV crossovers with comparable features. Overall, I highly recommend the Honda Pilot to motorists who are currently looking to buy a SUV.
Love My Pilot!
This SUV is great for hauling people and freight. It is comfortable and reliable, getting 18 MPG. I've driven 3 GMC Suburbans. They were always breaking down and had terrible gas mileage.
I like it a lot.
I've owned it since January 2003. I purchased it when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. It is very comfortable in traveling with people and children. I test drove every SUV in its class and this one was the roomiest. I recommend it.
