We purchased our new Pilot with safety in mind when our new baby girl came into the world. We also have been long time Honda owners are are quite impressed with the reliability and service we have received. Recently, while heading home from working all night my husband nodded off at the wheel and we rolled our new Pilot twice. I am thankful to be able to be here to record this review and give top notch praise to Honda for the construction of this vehicle. My husband and I walked away with only minor scratches.

We've had our new pilot for 3 weeks and are really enjoying,only problem that we encountered was having to wait for the dealer installed accessories. It is a great overall package, sure there are some fine competitors out there that are stronger in one particular area, towing, or overall offroad ability to name a couple, if however like us you just want a good all round suv the pilot is a great choice.

Bought this vehicle new in July, after having a new baby. Did much research on SUVs before purchasing. Love it. Took it on a crosscountry trip this Christmas (over 1900 miles) with 2 adults, 2 kids under the age of 2, and all of our stuff along. It performed admirably! We were Toyota people before buying this, but the Highlander wasn't big enough, and the Sequoia was too big and too much of a gas hog. The Pilot fit our needs perfectly.

Started out researching 4 dr. trucks (Titan, Tundra) but fuel usage caused me to look for a mid-size SUV. Checked out the Toyota Highlander and 4Runner, Kia Sorrento and Honda Pilot. When your seeking comfort, style, safety and reliability with decent milage (mpg) the choice became obvious to me. Good is my Pilot. I like it alot! Fit and finish is apparent. Design and ergonomics are best in class. Controls are easy to use and the sound system rocks, although the bass is somewhat muffled if set above 3. Go for it..... Good Luck dealing. I was able to negotiate a deal for $900 under MSRP for a 2004 Silver Pilot EX.

Had to replace the rear struts/shock in the first 6,000 miles (they were leaking?). Well designed interior but try wiping clean with a damp cloth. Paint wiped off from the center console (cup holder) and door handles. Good service from dealer. Front seats are uncomfortable. Good pick-up and did well in Northeast snow storms.

I love this car, it is reliable, drives quiet and smooth. I traded in a BMW X5 which handled alittle better, but drove harder and was noisier. The navigation system could use some simplification, but overall for the price this SUV is a best buy.

As an Architect, I fell in love with the Pilot's interior...very stylish and adaptable center console. The exterior is a bit boring, but added optional running boards which helps (also a big help for mums to get in). Without kids, I haven't used the third row seating, but love the HUGE cargo space for hauling 'stuff'. The ride is tight yet smooth, if occasionally noisy... much improved from my former Explorer. Enjoyed driving in 6" snow this last weekend with the auto 4 wheel drive... and the seat warmers! Sweet!!!

i test drove lots of suv but the pilot was the best.it has better gas millege then other suvs. iam a 6ft person and i could fit in the 3rd row seat.the ridding is smoth.looks good.dont listen to honda haters. try itand youll like it

The Honda Pilot is a great SUV with the ability to seat 8 people for short trips. It drives like a car and is easy for my wife to drive. It's obviously not for the off-road types, but if you're wanting to make a break from the mini-van scene and still maintain the features a family needs, this is the vehicle for you. Dads don't need to be embarassed driving it out with the guys. Best vehicle I've ever owned.

this car drives "fun". having had 3 suv's i find it to ride better then more expensive suv's . my wife is very comfortable with it and likes it better the her previous lexus 450 and buick. with honda reliability i am very happy with this car

The seats are not comfortable at all! The Seat cushions and covers have two heavy gauge metal rods in the middle of the seat that run across the thigh. You can feel them by pressing your fist down on the stitch line in the middle of the seat. These metal rods cut leg circulation. The window lock feature locks out the driver from control of the windows thus making the feature nearly worthless. The game goes like this; the kids lower the window, you lock them out, then you try to raise their window but you are locked out too. Lastly, the cross bars whistle when properly installed. The Pilot is a great SUV that drops the ball on the one yard line.

I Love This Car!! I can't say enough good things about it. It handles great looks great and the Navigation is super cool. I also added XM Radio to it and now don't ever want to leave my car........Thank You Honda.

I found the car to be easy to handle and very user friendly-especially if you actually listen to the dealer when you are being shown the car. Our salesman (George)was very professional and did not do any of that "let me talk to my manager" bull. He fielded all questions very knowledgably and priced the car extremely competitive. We were impressed with him and are impressed with the car. You can't beat the resale or the satisfaction of reliability.

Actually we bought the vehicle Jul 02. It's a fantastic SUV. We just recently returned fm San Francisco back to San Diego and averaged 22.5 miles to the gallon. One time we got 23.5! In and around town approximately 17+. It's smooth riding and a pleasure to drive. No problems so far! Honda gets you in before anything has a chance to start.

It's a great SUV. Excelent on gas compared to most cars these days - better than my 2000 Volvo S40 - and that was with a 4 cyclinder engine! Stable, good ride position, basic quality features. Not too fancy - it's the best Functioning SUV you'll ever own.

This is a heavy, powerful feeling car-- very powerful! I feel safe in it. The ride is wonderful. We looked and looked and looked. This was the best driving and the best ride. I only wish we had leather seats and my wife wanted a sun-roof. We bought too soon and didn't order what we really wanted.

We bought the Pilot to buffer our 1 year old in 5 star crash rated construction and to haul his gear around. This vehicle is everything its supposed to be - van like capacity that is unparalleled in its class and the look of an SUV on the outside. Drives wonderfully, all the confidence of the size and height visibility and yet flexible maneuvering of a car. The deal was, my wife would get to drive to work and I would drive on weekends. So far, I have to pry the keys out of her hands on the weekends!

I put a lot of miles on this car in a short amount of time. Quality is very inpressive and reliabiity cannot be matched. I have owned three different SUVs and the Honda was the least expensive and by far the best. The only downside to the Honda Pilot is the road noise. We plan on trading for another Honda Pilot.

Great vehicle!!! Bought this for my wife and I'm getting a little jealous because it has exceeded our expectations. Smooth ride with a smooth interior. I would recommend the tan interior if you can get it. For some reason it makes the car look a little richer. Honda Cars of McKinney Texas made us a great deal. Stop in and see Elbony, she will hook you up.

The car in general is great, especially if you get all the upgrades and only chose the Saddle color for the interior. The leather will as I have seen in many 03 pilots lose its shape and have lines on the sides. The saddle color will minimize this visible lines. The Pilot is deffinitly not sound proof and you will hear the wind hit the windshield. Apart from that I really love this SUV

We just bought a Pilot Ex in January 2004. We had looked at the Toyota Highlander which also has 3rd row seating. I am 5'1 and when I sat in the 3rd row my knees were almost up to my chest. It is a very uncomfortable seat. The Pilot has comfotable seats throughout. The drivers seat gives you the benefit of enjoying the entire road. The 2nd row is also very comfortable with plenty of leg room and exceptional head room. If you're looking for a SUV thats not as big as the Excursion or as small as the Geo Tracker, this is the vehicle for you. It gives you the feel of a strong vehicle but not the feel of a big diesel truck.

I have about to complete 1000 miles on my 2004 Silver Honda Pilot. I went with running boards, cargo organizer and exshaut finishers as accesories. So far we are having a great expericence.

I love this SUV! It has tons of room. We have 2 boys in booster seats and we have plenty of room to bring 2 of their friends in booster seats. It has a lot of power. A huge windshield so I can see a lot of the road.

I have had two Grand Cherokees and the Honda Pilot out weighs both of them. The Honda has an extremely smooth ride! The quality of the Pilot is exceptional. In comparison, the Jeeps were the same sticker price and the Honda has more features. Some of the features that the Jeeps did not have are heated seats, DVD, rear air/heat controls, seats for 8, etc. for the same sticker price. Honda gives you a lot for the money. I highly recommend this SUV!

Had to wait 4 weeks to get the vehicle, but dealer experience was very positive. Loaded vehicle up with many dealer installed options, we hope that was not a mistake. Dealer's servicemen took a lot of pride in prepping vehicle.

Excellent Honda quality. This vehicle drives like a car and is so spacious. This is my first SUV but my 5th Honda. I know why Honda markets it as The Honda of SUV's.

After owning a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero we wanted something less truck-like. At the end we had to decide between the Mitsubishi Endeavor and the Honda Pilot, both cars drive great, in fact the endeavor drives a little better but we ended up with the Pilot because it can seat up to 8 (endeavor seats 5) and it has Honda's high resale value, unfortunatelly our Mitsubishi Montero depreciated enormously. Up to now we are happy with the Pilot and for the money it's the best deal around in semi-luxury SUV's.

I used to have an Explorer, I enjoyed driving it while everything worked liked it was supposed to. However, I absolutely LOVE driving my Pilot. Love it, love it, love it.

I bought my wife a Sage 2004 Pilot with the Leather heated package. She was nervous about driving it home because she was not used to an SUV, now I can't get her out of the drivers seat...she is in LOVE!! Great vehicle, smooth ride, comfortable interior, HUGE amount of cargo space Perfect for any family...great job Honda!

I was not that impressed with the Pilot from seeing them out and about....BUT once my wife forced a test drive on me I was SOLD! It has so much leg and head room and the ride is like a true luxury vehicle. We can fit up to 8 passengers with ease. We traded in a Durango and have never regretted that decision.

After many comparisons between the Pilot, Forerunner & Highlander-- the Pilot won. Ultimately it seemed to be the most functional for my needs, in all kinds of weather. It feels stable and solid. The automatic all wheel drive was a decisive factor, along with the safety rating, and the Honda reputation of reliability.

My 2004 Honda Pilot drives and handles great. The ride is smooth with the four wheel suspension they use. The 3.5 engine has plenty of pep. The gas mileage is less than the Camry we had, but.. Three rows of seats, we use only the front, no kids at home. They are kind of pricey, but most good autos are.

WE TRADED A 2001 VOLVO CROSS COUNTRY V- 70 FOR OUR PILOT. WE HAVE FOUND THE PILOT TO BE SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY TO THE VOLVO. THE COMFORT, HANDLING AND SUPERIOR QUALITY FEATURES TO BE ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE OVER THE VOLVO. WE HAVE HAD MERCEDES IN THE PAST AND HAVE FOUND THE PILOT TO COMPARE IN MANY WAY TO THE QUALITY OF THOSE CARS. WE CAN PULL IT BEHIND OUR MOTORHOME TOO.

OUR LAST 3 PRIMARY VEHICLES HAVE BEEN HONDAS..FIRST ACCORDS AND NOW THE PILOT.WE LOVE THE WAY IT HANDLES..PARKS ALMOST LIKE THE ACCORD.MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH LIKED IT FROM THE FIRST DRIVE.

We get 25 mpg/highway (70-75 mph), 19 mpg average. Plenty of power, plenty of room in front and middle row, although third row is strictly for kids. Handles well on the highway and secondary roads but it's not made for driving fast on back roads. Uses 5W/20 oil, which might be hard to find. Changing the oil filter is a breeze, a first in 32 years of driving. We have the DVD player and the kids absolutely love it. We live on a mile-long dirt road and it handles that well, goes great in the CT snow. All the luxury of the Acura MDX with more room and a lower price.

I searched for two years for a new car. After researching on the web, I was convinced Honda Pilot was the one for me. They are sharp looking and easy to handle. The dealership was great to work with. I went to three different Honda dealerships and negotiated the best price. This is the first Honda I have owned.

I read many reviews of different suv's and test drove two but settled on the pilot. It seems to be the best value for the money with many features standard with the leather dvd package. The ride is very comfortable and much quieter than I expected after reading earlier reviews. I am very satisfied with this suv and do recommend it to others.
