Still Going Strong

Bought this van new in 2001 and it's never been taken to any repair shop. Dealer or otherwise. If you're gonna put your precious cargo (wife and kids) in a box, this is the one. The safest, the most reliable, the most luxurious and the most worry-free box out there in the market. BTW, I also own a BMW Z4 which has been to the dealership for "tweaking" 3 times since i bought it last year. Something about them Japanese engineers. I bet in the next 25 years or so we'll think Japanese when we think of prestigious automobiles.

Have a 2002 EX that we paid MSRP (Don't dicker pay sticker!!) Never paid over sticker and would not with this car either. Van runs great. Only has 3,700 miles but the mileage is not what I expected (18mpg). Right front side passengers window howls in the wind over 70mph. Power doors generally work fine. The van does not ride as nice as the Grand Caravan but I am sure it will be around longer. I did not consider the Toyota only because it was to small inside. The 2002's new 240 horse motor is hands downs stronger and smoother than the competition. I am happy with it so far but the wind noise issue is annoying and will go to the dealer next week.

My racing days are over...

After 6 months of hints from my husband I finally took the Odyssey for a test drive. I was reluctant to be seen in a mini van after owning several Accords, Civics, CRXs and Integras. But I wanted more room for the tax deduction (aka new baby) so I kissed my youth goodbye and took it for a spin. Very impressed when compared to other minis I tested. After owning so many Honda products I guess you have to "dance with the one that brung ya". Honda's have always been reliable, never ever been left stranded for any reason.

At 60,000, the air conditioning went completely out. We're not talking a simple adjustment - the entire air conditioning had to be replaced to the tune of $2500.00. The bearings ground themselves to splinters of metal and shot through the lines, into the evaporator. No one at the dealership had ever seen anything like it. My warranty company sent 3 adjusters in just to see something they had never heard of before. At 68,000 miles, the entire transmission had to be replaced. Though Honda covered that, they didn't cover the engine mounts that had to be replaced as well. Thank goodness for the warranty company who picked up the $350.00 tab on that one. The only problem is that the "new" trans

Great Honda but Stinky Dealership

01 Oddy is an upgrade from a 95 Quest. Handling is excellant due to lower profiling. Power is pretty good but it feels a little sluggist. This is no race car. No problem with the engine, tran or gas milage. The kids love it. One minor complaint is that the driver seat (electrical) seems to moved out of adjustment by itself. The biggest complaint is the dealership in Cerritos. I wrote a letter to the Honda Corporation and they have forwarded the complaint to the dealership but never heard from them. Norm Reeve Honda is too big and they feel that they can affort to neglect a few customers. Be careful with them and don't be the next victim.
