Loosing faith in Honda
I don't know what's going on with Honda, but it's not as used to be. Build quality is definitely not up to par. Bought a brand new CR-V a year ago. After the first rain, it had a spare tire wheel compartment full of water. It took dealership 3 tries and an external shop to fix leaking problems. Battery died when weather hit below 0. This should not happen on a 10 months old car. Wheel wells have no protective covers. Dealership told me it was done by design and the bare metal is treated for rust corrosion, but rust corrosion doesn't protect from stones chipping at the paint. And to top it off, all lug nuts are rusted. Car is 1 year old!!! Very, very disappointed!
My new CRV after 10 years
Yes, finally decided to get back into debt (after 5 of no car payments)...it was time, my 2002 CRV (which I bought new) already has 240,000. miles (that's right)...no engine or tramission overhaul has been needed....the car is still in excellent shape, so much that now it was passed to my son... That's the main reason as to why I bought another CVR .... "RELIABILITY".. The 2013 CVR LX has a very confortable ride, little wind noise in the highway, good visibilty, good handling.

CR-V Is A Pleasure To Drive!
My senior parents are the actual owners of this vehicle, but I have driven it enough and helped them weed through numerous other vehicles (months and months of research and test driving) to feel confident in making a review. My mother's strong pull to the CR-V was the actual deciding factor in the final purchase. I feel she made a great decision! This vehicle offers a lot for the money. We test drove countless vehicles and my parents kept coming back to this one. I was not as crazy about it as them, but see that it has many desirable features and feel it is definitely worth the money. Overall, it is a great little SUV!
excellemt utility and economy SUV! Honda quality
All around an excellent SUV, so roomy, I mean this thing has more room than a BMW X5. Honda utilitarian value, smart design, simple yet extremely practical , had one issue with a TSB on the Actuator, but that's it. I have a 2012 EX CRV with 22,000 miles, love it. very good on fuel, can carry 2 sets of golf clubs, 4 suitcases and 2 bikes on the back and still get excellent mileage. Luv this SUV. not the fanciest of SUV, but top marks for reliability and economical, utilitarian value! AWD Systems works great in the snow and very safe vehicle 71,000 miles and still on original brakes Super reliable

DISAPPOINTED
Compared with my previous vehicle, a 2004 Honda CR-V, the 2013 is VERY disappointing in all aspects EXCEPT fuel economy. When the CR-V was redesigned, Honda - in MY opinion - made a horrendous error by notably reducing the size of the rear window while simultaneously increasing the interior "wrap around" on the rear sides of the vehicle thus dramatically reducing rear visibility. The interior design of the vehicle is very troubling to me. Some IDIOT engineer/designer stuck a blower motor (I assume that is what it is) for the ventilation system in the foot space on the passenger side. Considering that this is NOT a humongous vehicle to begin, removing six or so inches of foot space (maybe 200+ cubic inches of foot space) was TERRIBLE. Honda also reduced the amount and locations of storage space from the older models. While the following may not be of importance to most people, it IS to me: the Honda CR-V model that I bought has a "better" audio system INCLUDING a "subwoofer." Again, some IDIOT engineer/designer (the same one??) located the subwoofer* directly under the passenger seat and firing UP into the seat cushion. You do NOT need to be an acoustic engineer to understand that the seat cushion will almost completely swallow sound pressure from the subwoofer making it USELESS. BTW, when I first went to the dealer to ASK where the subwoofer is located since I could not hear it; they indicated that they did NOT CARE. I will NEVER again buy a vehicle from them! *the actual "subwoofer" in the CR-V is a speaker of something like 4.5 inches diameter. I do not know what kind of magnet it has, but unless some VERY SPECIAL engineering is done (as in BOSE speakers), 4.5 inches is pathetic for a subwoofer. I am not thrilled by the performance of the vehicle, although it DOES get great mileage. The transmission shifting is very noticeable. For all of these reasons, I turned the CR-V over to my wife. She did not mind since she drives very little these days. I bought a 2015 Subaru Forest. While it does not get quite as good mpg as the CR-V, it is a FAR superior vehicle in MY opinion. AND, the Continuously Variable Transmission is s delight!
