Used 2002 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Too soon to tell, but . . .
I bought this car for $15,700 in August and, quite expectedly, have experienced no problems to date. The car is suprisingly spacious (my '88 Accord was about the size of an '02 Civic 4- door). Although only 150 hp, the 5- speed enables decent acceleration. For a car that won't leave you stranded on the highway, you can't beat the price (though the DX/VP is probably a better bargain if you can handle rolling up your own windows). Very easy to drive.
Great car for the money
This is my first car and I'm very happy with my purchase. Other cars with the same level of equipment would have cost me at least $5000 more. The V6 engine is strong and quiet. The manual states that regular unleaded gasoline is needed, unlike other competing cars that require premium. Despite what others say about the 'bland styling', the car is fun to drive, its a sedan but being a Honda it has a sporty feel to it. Visibility all around is excellent with no blind spots. Fit and finish is good as well.
Excellent Family Car
Well designed and well built car. Powerful but wasteful engine (considering that it is a HONDA). Silk smooth transmission. The low rev torque is kind of inadequate. My old ford taurus has more low rev torque. Quiet ride on even road. Getting nosier on rough road. The toyota camry I test driven do not have this problem. The body is kind of dent prone. You should be very careful even when you are washing you car. One of the best value for family car. No wonder, it was the best selling passenger vehicle in 2001.
Great choice!
I think this Accord is one of the best vehicles I have owned. It has a great ride and is very comfortable. I looked at several other cars (Acura, Toyota, and Nissan) and for the price it just couldn't be beat.
Smooth Fast Honda
This car is great, I got a great deal on it. It came with way more features than the crappy looking Camry and was far less. It's a Honda so it will be great on resale. Motor is smooth and quiet, I have the rear wing so it looks even better. Needs heated seats and an outside temperature gauge in it though, ride is good, gas mileage is ok for a 6 cyl. Toyota is way more expensive with less standard options. Can't wait for the new pilot to come out to buy one of those also. Go Honda...your products are the best. Toyota doesn't have a robot like Honda either.
