I'm a 35 yr old male who went from owning an 2005 five hundred ltd awd which I loved and was a great family car and a cruiser to the 2010 Taurus! Ford has made owning a family car fun once again! The power, handling, the sound system and the style inside and out is just unreal!! Thank You ford!

Here is a car that has the room and class of most luxury cars, has more technical features than any other car in it's class (and more than most others period). It has better performance than a Mustang GT and I got 29.7 mpg on a recent trip from Michigan to Arizona. Obviously, the neatest thing is the performance. With the torque curve absolutely flat at 350 lbs. ft. from 1500 to 5500 rpm, acceleration is spectacular in any gear. I have a 2008 Lexus IS 350 (not slow) and the Taurus is far more fun to drive.

Nothing but problems with 2010 Taurus SHO

88,000 miles and the water pump failed. The water pump is an internal engine drive design, so what could have been cheap and easy is very expensive due to Ford's design requiring head removal (for a water pump!). Only if that is all that was wrong. Because of Ford's head, stretch bolts and accordian metal layered gasket design, antifreeze got into the oil. So, for a failed water pump and the resulting damage $3500. As if that was not enough, 2 weeks after the above repair and maybe 500 miles of driving one of the turbos failed. This repair...$1200. So what is next? Have the issues been resolved and now should have a good car? Or will the problems continue? Should I RUN to a dealer and trade it in before the next major repair?

The cars styling inside and out is very modern. Easy to use dials and SYNC. True hands free driving experience. Comfortable seats which are heated, powered and have a massage feature. I have no problem with rear pillars as i check my blinds spots when is change lanes. If you are a heavy set person the cockpit will be tight. If you are average sized person cockpit is snug and can hold 3 beverages and has huge storage compartment. Gauges are easy to see both night and day. Averaging 21 mpg. Trunk is huge. 4 sets of golf clubs are no problem.
