I traded in a 1990 Ford Ranger 4x4. This truck seems to be much wider then my previous truck. I have never had an automatic before, so it has been hard getting used to that. If I had it to go over again, I would buy a manual transmission. Other then that, it is a great truck.

My last truck was a Dakota and I was looking for one again. I test drove the edge and couldn't get it out of my mind. The Dakota ended up being out of my price range new- and I couldn't see going used if I could afford a new edge (with rebates). My sonic blue Edge is everything my old Dakota wasn't. I've only had it for 4 months but I am really impressed! I am confident of this truck's abilities under any conditions. If it keeps up its relibility for the nest 3-4 years I will no question buy another Ranger!

For sub $12K for a base XLT w/2.3 manual ride comfort handling, and performance is better than expected for an economy small truck. Seat comfort is poor with no lumbar, engine very buzzy. Can't imagine paying $20K+ for the high end models.
