2019 Ford Mustang GT Premium 2dr Coupe (5.0L 8cyl 6M)
The Mustang GT is strictly a two seater. The back seat is so small, it can only be used for a couple of sacks of groceries. But, if your looking for an out of this world sports car at a reasonable price, check it out. It has tremendous acceleration with the 5.0 engine. The brakes are superb. I drive with the Sport mode because the automatic transmission shifts through every gear. … In "normal" mode the transmission skips 2nd and 4th gears. It jerks when you accelerate in this mode between gears. The shifting is smooth in the sport mode. I bought the 2019 GT Premium for a $1,000 less than a 2018 Camaro 2SS. GREAT DEAL. Also, the Mustang has a flat dash that makes the view easy and I have a reference where the wheels are by a complete view of the hood. I hated the Camaro's instrument pods. They almost completely blocked the view of the hood, even though I raised the seat as high as I could. I have adult children, so the limited rear seating is not a problem. Completely satisfied the the GT.

2019 Ford Mustang GT Premium 2dr Coupe (5.0L 8cyl 6M)
First, my Mustang is a GT Premium with the 10 Speed AT. (Not a choice when selecting model for review). Plenty of power, not a Lincoln ride but still smooth, as good if not better than my previous Fusion. Responsive control, excellent acceleration, great mpg—18 to 19 in town, 29 plus at interstate speeds—if you “jack rabbit” you will really reduce it.. the power is there when needed. … Instrumentation is more than adequate, easy to use, arranged nicely. 5000 miles in my first two and a half months. Looks great, fun to drive, great road car for family of two!
2 year of ownership update

2019 Ford Mustang GT Premium 2dr Coupe (5.0L 8cyl 6M)
Currently have a little over 19,000 miles on my GT. The covid 19 lockdown significantly decrease how much I have driven for the past year. Anyway, here's my update on my 2019 Mustang GT Premium, with Performance Pack 1. First, this car is my daily driver. I never raced it or taken it to the track. Most of the mileage are highway miles. I'm averaging around 22 mpg highway, and … around 15 city, averaging around 18 combined. Everything about the car is stock, and I find the power to be more than enough for me. Although I don't race, I have driven my car on curvy roads many times, and I find it very manageable and stable on turns, even on high speed. The clutch is still stiff, but I am used to it by now. The transmission is definitely not the smoothest, but it is holding up. Now what I don't like about the car after 2 years? First, I find that the paint is thin. It has a good number of chips up front, almost the same amount as my 8 year old GTI. The windshield also is too sensitive. I already had to get it fixed 2x because of small chips and cracks, while my GTI's windshield is still untouched. Another one is the amount of rattle inside, specially around the dashboard area, which I couldn't locate and driving me nuts sometimes. The wheels on the Performance Pack 1 is also hard to keep clean. Its glossy finish doesn't stay clean for long, specially the front because of the break dust created by the brembo breaks. Other than those minor complaints, I find my Mustang a very good car, and I'm glad I bought it. Hopefully, it will hold up for many years.
Awesome!

Which Mustang does Edmunds recommend?
Get the Mustang GT if you can. The EcoBoost is a fine performer but the Mustang is at its best with the 460-hp V8 under the hood. Add useful day-to-day civility at a reasonable cost by choosing the optional active valve exhaust and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Performance package sharpens up the Mustang's handling performance considerably, so go ahead and get that, too.

Driving
8.5The Mustang we tested did not have any performance options. But it was still impressively quick, engaging and, most importantly, fun. It's also a surprisingly easy car to drive. The new 10-speed automatic transmission complements the 460 horsepower but isn't as responsive as we'd like in manual mode.
Comfort
8.0You'll remain comfortable in the Mustang's saddle for hours, which is quite a feat considering how performance-focused it is. The seats are supportive and the cabin is fairly quiet save for some road noise and the V8 engine's burble.
Interior
8.0There's just enough retro character to keep some Mustang nostalgia alive, but not so much that it affects how everything functions and feels. The controls are thoughtfully placed. In almost every way, its interior is better than that of rival Chevy Camaro.
Utility
6.5The Mustang is quite a bit easier to live with than some rivals. It may not be the leader in this area, but it's certainly adequate.
Technology
8.0Muscle cars don't exactly scream "high tech," but the Mustang gets high marks for the availability of newer features. On top of that, these features are intuitive and easy to use. The optional digital instrument panel not only looks cool, but it is also functional and a great secondary control screen.
