The 2018 Mustang is great but needs to be refreshed before I can justify buying another one. I love the Premium level. It costs more, but you get a lot more.

Everything I Wanted

I recently traded in my white 2011 V6 Mustang Convertible (after 153k trouble-free miles) for a left-over 2018 GT 10-speed automatic (yeah, I know it sounds lame, but I go through 20 traffic lights each way to/from work, and my left knee had a bad ski accident a few years back, so I wimped out and can always borrow hubby's '18 Challenger which is a stick). The GT is amazing. I was never dissatisfied with my older mustang's upgraded interior, or even its V6 performance, but my new GT is luxurious by comparison... softer interior panels, seats more snugly fit one's back and derriere, nice stitching, tighter fittings, flexible climate control options, better Sync operation and clarity. And everything is still within reach for someone not quite 5'5". I miss my analog buttons for Sirius and radio stations, but I'm getting used to the touch screen. The car, too, just seems, well, bigger to me. Maybe a higher profile. I should mention the sheer joy of dusting everyone around me is pretty sweet, too, and when I need to slow it back down the massive caliper front brakes feel like they would stop a freight train. Just sayin'. I had a lot of attachment to my prior pony, and it was in damn good condition, but the '18 GT is essentially a lot of rippling muscle skillfilly wrapped in a beautiful, comfortably suspended and smooth-riding machine. Similar fuel consumption as the V6 and I am using Mobile One oil and premium fuel. No regrets, just excitement every time the engine turns over and issues its low, impatient growl. Just adore the car.
