The best truck on the market.
I bought my 2017 Ford F150 XLT crew cab after owning a Chevy and a Dodge in the past. By far, the Ford trucks are better in every aspect. I have heard and read about people comparing other trucks to the Ford trucks; however, I can tell you from personal experience none of the truck makers compare to the Ford trucks. The Ford trucks are engineered with such quality that it is noticeable from the first drive. Personally, the ride quality, comfort, and gas mileage have been superior. The ride quality is better than most luxury brand cars. The comfort is excellent especially for long trips for larger drivers. Overall, the best brand and quality truck on the market!!!

Stay away from the 10 speed transmission!!!!!
Update: truck has 48k miles, no changes in the clunk. Even the 2020 10 speed F150s do it. Biggest issue, this 1st gen 10 speed tranny causes a clunk noise to come from transfer case intermittently on startup. Ford Field Service Engineer calls it a "characteristic of this truck". Also, front camera of lane keeping system displays error messages. Dealership doesnt see the issue. Go to youtube and search for "Driveshaft clunking on engine start 3 level grade resting on brake" watch the driveshaft move and clunk. Here is a video i took of a 2018 f150 rental, it did the same clunk! https://youtu.be/UYiiA29xT68

BEST FORD TRUCK EVER MADE
Owning the FORD F-150 has been my best experience ever. I have owned chevy's , Toyota, dodge, and a Titan. But over all this F-150 is by far the BEST handling , performance and the BEST mpg ( miles per gallon ) . We're averaging in town driving 18 miles to the gallon and interstate miles per gallon 23.8. I'm 6ft 4 and 374 lbs. And the truck rides comfortable and is easy to get in and out of. Ford has really stepped up to the plate as far as the overall expectations of a full size truck. The lighter body was an excellent idea, as we have now seen other dealers going to . We'really please to say that when 2020 the NEW FORD BRONCO is coming back to AMERICA. My wife said she will be the PROUD OWNER in driving that vehicle. One more thing-if your're ever in the PARIS, TENNESSEE area ,check out JOE MAHON FORD. They are the BEST folks that you will ever meet, their employees are the nicest and most thought of folks to deal with. If your looking for a caring, generous and giving sales person . Then you need to meet MRS. ANGIE sweetest woman to deal with and to know. Without her our visit may have not been possible. FORD NEEDS TO RECONIZED HER AS THE BEST SALESWOMAN OF THE YEAR. THANK YOU MOHAN FORD for making us a PROUD FORD OWNER.

Solid and dependable truck
I bought a new to me 2017 F-150 Super Crew 4X4 with the 2.7 Ecoboost engine in XL trim with the STX package. I think the STX package is definitely the best bang for your buck if you're looking to get into a truck with some nice additions. Since it's the base XL it does miss a few features like power and heated seats, door keypad, and leather wrapped steering wheel. But the STX package does give you some good stuff like 20" wheels, paint matched bumpers and grille surround, black sport seats, center console, and sync 3. The sync 3 was important to me so I would have apple carplay. The truck drives smooth and the 2.7 has plenty of power to give. I don't tow a lot, but the couple times I have it's pulled the 4,500 lb trailer and contents with zero problems. It barely feels like it's back there. I have found it difficult to get the EPA mileage out of it, but since most of my driving is hilly suburban roads, i'm not too surprised. If I'm easy on it, I can get 18 mpg average and about 20-21 on the highway keeping it under 70. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this truck to someone who is looking for a good honest truck that has a couple of nice features without breaking the bank. I do wish it had power seats and a less plasticy dash, but it's less that can break and the plastic is easy to clean and maintain. The stock Hancook tires are not great in the rain or mud so those will be coming off soon and replaced with something a little better. Otherwise, I've added a tonneau cover, floor liners, and window deflectors and don't see any need for me to add really anything else. It's a great solid truck that you will enjoy driving that looks like a higher trim thanks to the wheels and paint matched bumpers and grille. If you're looking for a good truck that has some essential features that looks nice, look no further than the STX F-150.
MPG King
I've owned this truck for 3 months and have put 4K miles on it since purchasing it as a low mile (5K) CPO truck. I purchased it in an attempt at better MPG than my 2014 F150 supercrew 4X4 with 5.0 which had averaged 18.7 over the 57K miles I had driven since purchasing it new in Jan. of 2015. I've not been disappointed. I'm averaging 23.4mpg overall for 4K since purchase. Best tank 25.5mpg(that's manually calculated) and best trip(215 miles) with several stops at flea markets along the way 28.0 mpg. I made one short trip of 40 miles that I think I forgot to start the engine as I got 33.3 mpg. Only complaint I have is that it's a bit more squirrly riding than my 2014 F150 supercrew 4X4 and the steering is a bit too light at highway speeds. I attribute that to the fact that it is a 4X2, the body is aluminum, and it's got 20" wheels compared to the 18" on my old truck. So it weighs quite a bit less. Trade in July of 2019 for a new 2019 F150 SC 4x4 was still averaging 23+ Mpg (had just over 21K on odometer) missed my 4x4. Update: trade off the 2019 supercrew(3.5 eco boost 4x4) with 21K miles on it. Was a great truck zero problems over 3 years of ownership. 22mpg overall mostly highway. Longest trip. 5700 miles out to California and back by a circuitous route speeds from 55-80mph, 24mpg overall for entire trip. Not computer numbers but hand calculated.
