8 years & still love it

I’ve had this car exactly 8 years now and love it. I have had no maintenance issues, other than general schedule maintenance. It has been completely reliable, which is great as a single woman. It’s a very comfortable ride and I have people complement this car all the time. I’ve had friends say they can’t believe it’s eight years old based on the technology I have & how well it’s held up. I was a little worried when I purchased it with the touchscreen, but again, eight years and zero issues. Love, love, love this car! I’m surprised to see there are bad reviews, since I’ve had all positive experiences. But I guess people are more likely to post about negative experience than positive. If I had anything negative to say, there would be two things. It can be a little clunky on the down shift, but only in certain situations. By far this is not the majority of my experience. The other thing is the washer fluid comes out well, but the very bottom left corner of the windshield doesn’t get the liquid. So the wipers tend to just streak in that area. Certainly not a dealbreaker, but I would love if that didn’t happen.

This car is amazing, and I'm a car snob

I'm a car snob. When my wife got the Edge, I was driving a Mercedes E63 AMG (500 HP, top of the line Benz). My wife gets company cars, and they need to be Fords, so she picked a loaded Edge Sport. This car blows me away. It is quite, quick, handles like a sports car, and has more features than I ever imagined. We pulled a small trailer with motorcycles for 800 miles and it was flawless. I can't speak for long-term reliability since it's only at 5K miles, but as far overall quality and fun factor, I think you'd be crazy to buy that little Lexus or other generic SUV. No, I don't work for Ford, I'm truly amazed by this ride. Rear DVD, synch, great sound, cool looking....amazing ride.

Love this vehicle

We love this vehicle. This vehicle has an excellent ride, very comfortable interior, and it is fun to drive. It drives like a much more expensive vehicle. I traded in my 07 Malibu and there is no comparison in performance, comfort, and overall quality. The Sync system is amazing. Everyone should consider this type vehicle for a crossover. We purchased this vehicle based on overall appearance and the quality. We also respect Ford for not relying on the government and taxpayer to stay in business. So long GM!

Our Edge Limited is only 6 years old. Immediately after the warranty, the backup camera somehow inverted the image upside down. Cost would be hundreds to fix, so we never fixed. Ffwd to today, the car started sputtering on my wife and then shut down in the middle of an intersection. Ford tells us the entire engine seized up and will cost almost $7000 to repair! That is insane for a 6 year old car. And worse, they cannot tell us the cause without tearing it apart. The car was just serviced a month ago for an oil change and the brakes were just serviced 3 days ago. We gave the car 1 star for everything because a comfortable safe car is useless if YOU CANNOT DRIVE IT!
