Bought used 2011 Edge Limited AWD, all the bells and whistles. Traded in 2008 expidition loved expi but needed better gas mileage. In the Edge I doubled my gas mileage and got a better looking and handling vehicle love the ford sync no problems so far. Owned for 5 weeks so far no problems.
Good, but....
I have owned the vehicle for over 1 year in the Republic of Panama. It´s very nice to drive and have a reasonable fuel consumption, considering a 3.5 V-6 engine. Unfortunately the dealers in Panama are not making noticeable efforts to improve post sale service which will make any excellent manufactured vehicle a nightmare soon or later despite the fact that the vehicle sensors are there to advise when maintenance is due.

Ford Listens
I purchased my first Ford in 2007, a fully loaded edge. Only complaint I had was interior. I just got my 2011 and all I can say is WOW! The car is stunning (20 inch wheels). Many people stare and come see it when I am parked. The interior and technology is top rate! I feel like I am driving a $60k car. With the rebates I paid less than I did in 2007. The ride feels like my friends X5, really tight and crisp and the brakes are stronger than my last one. Anybody shopping for a CUV please go try a 2011 Edge, it is unbelievable.
What A Great Ride
just had mine 2 weeks & I love this vehicle. I could live in it, it is that comfortable. Almost fully loaded and I can't understand the person that doesn't like the Sync, I can't understand. Maybe they should try simpler commands, as that's the way voice recognition works. People make me roll down my window at stop lights to talk to me about this car. How cool is that. Great job Ford, it is quality thought out.
Love my Edge
I came out of a 2008 edge limited. I loved the car so much I couldn't wait to get the 2011. I really love all the technology and design of my new edge but it does have a lot of bugs in the system. Sync tends to have trouble understanding you. In 2008 edge it worked like a charm. there seems to be a delay and the system is sometimes sluggish. I am hoping that a future software upgrade can fix these issues. climate temp does not seem to be accurate at 75 it's still putting out cold air and sometimes at 65 you get hot air. No regrets on my purchase still love the car big fan
Love the Edge
I love the edge it is fun to drive and eye catching. I knew going in to it there were going to be glitches with the My Touch system but there are a few more than I was planning on. Considering that the My Touch was half the reason I got the car though I really can't complain to much. Back up camera makes it so you have to wait a few seconds before you back up or you will freeze the screen. Sirius has a few glitches with the alert system. Overall the Edge is the best purchase I have ever made. Thank you Ford for making such a great car. Can't wait to have all the kinks worked out so I can just enjoy the car.
Great Car, But Has Some Faults
We got our 2011 Ford Edge SEL in Sept. We love the extra interia room, comfort and performance. The gas mileage is not up to what Ford claims. Ford says, 19/27, don't believe it. Unless you are very, very concious about your driving habits, you are not going to get what is claimed. I don't have a heavy foot and we're getting 12. We have 1K miles and so far, the Edge came with the rear window washer broke. Then the high beams/low beams now make a clunking noise and both side view mirrors now grin. The radio sync does not switch to the correct station with voice. Also, why did Ford place the indside door handle so close to the hinge side; it makes it difficult to close the door.
Worst Car Ever!!!!
I have been having transmission leaks ever since i bought it. Brought it to Bay ridge ford (horrible dealer) for service and he tried to play me for a fool. He would clean the oil and make it seem like he fixed it. I called Ford service and their costumer service is useless, no help at all. Dont ever buy fords, worst cars ever. I learned my lesson!

2001 Edge SEL
I traded a 2008 4Runner SR5 for a 2011 Edge SEL. I wanted a bit more refinement and better gas mileage and I got exactly that. Fit and finish is just great. Easy to get in and out of, gas mileage is as rated. I love the MyTouch technology and don't find it that hard to use. Makes my 4Runner seem very antiquated. The Edge's ride is so smooth with excellent noise dampening. I would recommend an Edge to anyone who doesn't need the true SUV qualities of a truck based vehicle.
