Used 1991 Ford Aerostar Consumer Reviews
aerostar
Its a great vehicle for hauling...used it in my furniture business. The interior is giant! Lots of head room! I bought it with 60k on it, and put another 100k on it. Really fun to drive,so roomy great if you're a tall person. Only problems-I now have a tick in engine!? Very hard to replace oil filter yourself. Lots of power though in 4.0 liter....As far as other problems, just normal things.
Pat's van
This van is a great family vehicle! This van has a great radio. This van has pretty good pick up for a van. This van is very reliable.
What a piece of junk!
I drive this van to school every day and it gets horrific gas mileage. In winter it has gone as far down as a whopping 7 mpg. The rust is unbelievable and the exterior design is quite flawed. The interior is nice however. What this van really needs is a lot more power. It seems like sometimes it did not want to go at all and if you are on any sort of incline at all it won't break 75 no matter how hard you press on the gas. It never heats up either. The traction is terrible. In snow if you just tap the gas the tires will spin like crazy.
The Scout mobile
This was my 4th car/only van I owned. Traded an ‘86 Somerset for it. I was a boy scout leader at the time and took 3 10 year olds home in th Somserset and th poor car back underbelly was almost dragging on the street; so it was time after 3yrs to trade up to a nice passenger van. I traded up to 1991 AreoStar Standard length with the fold down rear sets that was an almos full size bed, it got some use by me at the scouts camperie.👍🏼

Still Going 20 years later
I love this van. I bought it new, and have driven it since then. It is comfortable and maneuverable, and has suited my needs. It has never failed to please me, in driving, in parking. I can use it for carrying people or lumber, as the back seats are easily removable.
