Hate to sell
I have absolutely no complaints about this car, it's just time to get a new car. Well, maybe one complaint, it is difficult to fit more than 3 people in the car comfortably, eg; long trips. Smooth drive, great air conditioner, power windows, locks and many other amenities made you feel like you were in a luxury sports car.
Super!
This car is simply the best. I used to own a vw, but ever since I got the talon, i'm never going to go back. I wouldn't trade this car for the world, Unless that meant getting more talons :) Simply the best car I've ever owned.
long term car
I have owned my Talon for 11 years & have loved it. After initial problems, covered by warranty, it has performed well & looks great! I have maintained it well.
Worth Every Penny
I bought this car in 96 because it was eye-catching and no one had this car. It was a floor model with 500 miles on it driven from one dealer to the next. I have only had minor issues with this car. Relay sensors, other sensors, a recall, broken door handle. I have 108000 miles on it and an drive it 100 miles a day. I fill up on the fourth day so fuel economy is great. This car style was far ahead of its time and the quality was fantastic. I put low profile tires & rims, added mirror tints, and a small antenna to make the overall look pop even more. Great car for the Fast & Furious enthusiasts, just wish I had extra cash to make it look even better. Only 25000 so hook yours up or get one.
transmission
I bought this car with the intention of a reliable car well I got the car with around 85,000 miles and I thought huh should be good low miles just getting broke in. Nope that was not the case bout two months of driving timing belt timing gears and water pump all at one time. Then bout two weeks later the master cylinder for clutch started leakin. I was like ok there should be any more problems for a while then bout 8 months after purchase the trans blew a hole in the side of it I was like noway well I got one out of junk yard for 500 bucks and again 5 months later the same happened again all I have to say is the car was probably a good little car when it was new but if you by one used beware.
Best car ever owned!
I've owned Honda's and Toyota's and this car is a lot cheaper and it's durability and performance is awesome, even in the non-turbo models(which i owned)
I LOVE MY TALON
Every person i know loves my car and wishes it were there's. They also can't believe it's a '95 since it's stayed in such good shape. I love my car, it's my baby and wouldn't trade it for anything.
Its just my kind of car.
My Talon is the first of my "newer" vehicles, and I love to drive it. I havent had any problems with my car although I'm starting to hear rattling, and for some reason my brakes sometimes squeek, but other than that the car is in great condition. All I have to do is give it a tune and an oil change and its good to go.
Unreliable car
I have my Talon for 4 yrs, and my experience with it has been ok, but recently it is having a big problem with starting the car sometime, Sometimes it start, sometimes it took me a long time to start it, the ongest time that it took me was 2hrs.... I have tried 3 places to fix it, but nobody could figure out how! I have even tried the dealership.... they said nothing was wrong with it.
Good car
Haven't had a problem with it yet knock on wood
Great car
So far I have not had any trouble with this car. It is very good on gas mileage, very economical, and a very fun car to drive. I would recommend this car to anyone who is interested in a small sporty vehicle for cheap!
Red Talon ESI
I bought my Eagle because of it's looks and a reasonable price. I've driven it for 3 years without too many problems save the ball joint that broke 2 weeks before it was recalled. Anti lock brakes were the first to go and now there's a light on the dash all the time. There is also an oil leak which I suspect has something to do with the head gasket. Interior is snug, with ne real back seat to speak of. Interior construction is cheap cheap cheap. Hard plastic dash basic seats. Radio did not work when headlights were on and I replaced it. Gets good mileage and Is not too bad for 2 people to travel in. Good going to work car.
not a good buy
In 3 years I replaced: head gasket, timing belt, water pump, electrical system, brain, struts, body rust, and 4 ball joints! I can say with objectivity that my Talon was a terrible car as far as reliability. I think it was cheaply made and do not recommend it to anybody who is looking for a dependable vehicle.
Bought NEW! Owned 7 years!
Reasonably inexpensive to buy & fun to drive. However, not the most reliable vehicle. Over the 7 years I had this vehicle I had to have it repainted (fading problems covered under warranty), replaced head gasket (all defective in these cars), power locks problems (bent bars inside 2 separate repairs for each side then later driver door lock wouldn't unlock with key, then automatic door lock from driver door to unlock passenger door quit working), rear strut bushings caused excessive squeaking (whole strut has to be replaced) all under 100K.
hatchy
i like how the driving is and the way the fuel ecomonmy is.
Great first car
Overall a good first car to have. Easy to work on, manegeability etc. A very cute car as well, ages well.
Best Car Ever
This car is sick. Plain and simple.
Most reliable, cool car ever
I never owned a more reliable car than this one, even after 8 years of driving one. I have never ever had a problem withthis car other than a sensor light and now, the paint is beginning to fade and come off. It always starts, always performs, has never let me down. Its economical, fun to drive, and has an awesome sound system. Wish they still made 'em...I'd get another in a heartbeat....
