Best of Both Worlds

This vehicle is amazing. Combining luxury and sport. The flexibility of being able to switch from all-electric, to all-gasoline, to hybrid -- provides ultimate confidence and reliability. The switch between each of the preceding modes is extremely and remarkably seamless. All-electric for driving in the city. Hybrid mode to reach the 50mpg on longer trips. All-gasoline to get that classic feel along with an extended range. Excellent vehicle. A bit pricy after adding the options, but is priced competitively among peer luxury PHEVs in its class.

We purchased a BMW X5 M50i on December 24, 2020 and to is March 15, 2021 and this car has been is the dealer for more than 4 times for electronic issues. BMW is not cooperating with us and kept on asking for more time to fix that lemon. They refused to give us our money back. We now have to get an attorney to get BMW to listen to us. This is really POOR customer service!!!!

The BMW X5 M50 provides a level of high performance that having traded a C7 Corvette also a fantastic it fits what I call a best all year around high performance car regardless of weather conditions with the standard all season tires The M brakes stop at a fantastic rate . The acceleration is there wet or in extreme cold . I ess tired of only perfect warm weather to be driving a Automobile that gives it’s all regardless of road conditions. The BMW X5M50i has almost 10 inches of road clearance so mild off-road is ok and easy . Yet the handling is very good and the steering feel superb . The interior can’t be beat . Top quality with multiple ways to get what you want . Use either voice command, iDrive spin knob, touch or a direct button to get various things to turn on . Seat comfort didn’t get better. After driving many cars and Corvettes the BMW fulfills your wants and commands. It simply never complains nor say it can’t go there . Best All Around Transportation you can put yourself in and safety transport your family and friends in too.

Too many repairs

I purchased this BMW new in 12/2020; it's 3/2021 and I've already had three repairs. One is a common known defect - the window regulator. My passenger side front window regulator failed the first week I had the car. BMW finally switched out one from my (new) loaner because there was a months long wait for a factory part. Then about a month later, I got a tire pressure monitor failure warning. Took the car in to be repaired. Two days ago, got the warning again (Different wheel? No idea.). I have fewer than 2,500 miles on this car, and three repairs already. Wish I had stuck with my original choice of Mercedes GLE.

Amazing Overall, Electronics fail

Breathtaking balance of power and grace, but in the first 30 days the electronics had an issue that requires a dealer appointment & loaner. Vehicle producers need to remember they have higher reliability standards than FANG companies and should consider scaling back features to enhance the reliability of what they do include.
