Used 2003 BMW 7 Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
They almost made it
With out a doubt BMW took a chance and put all the technology available into one car. The result is a formidable driving machine. The problem with taking these kinds of technological leaps is who is going to fix it if there is a problem. We have owned the car one month and have had the second system failure in the car. The first problem was with the dynamic drive system. The dealer was very accomodating but it took a week to diagnose the problem and get the right parts. Now we have our second repair in one month. If we have anymore difficulties with this car I will return it under the Lemon Law.
Its very close to perfect
The Times and others complain about the I drive - but for anyobe that can send email the problems are close to zero. i love this car

Ausgezeichnet !!
I've yet to find ANYTHING I don't think is wonderful about the car. The engine is smooth as silk and has gobs of power and torque throughout the rev range. Interior is plush and ride just short of cushy, givng a nod to the performance aspect of the car. The thing most knocked about the vehicle, I-Drive, just isn't that hard to pick up, especially if you use the voice activation stuff on frequently used business (going from AM to FM radio, etc.), but it does require a good 15 minutes of looking at the manual to absorb all its capabilities. All in all - a wonderfully grand carriage with all the pep and handling of most sport coupes.
Livin' For The Shop...
With over 50+ days (in less than 1 year) spent in the shop...I'm settled to driving my 80k dollar 3 series loaner. This car cannot be fixed and would look better painted yellow. Having owned 2 prior 7's, I expected a great reliable car. This car is a warranty shops dream. No mortal man can afford one when it goes out of warranty. Best advice...DON'T EVEN TAKE A TEST DRIVE!
Excellent automobile
When I'm bored on the weekends, I sit for hours on end in my 745Li. Everything in the cockpit gives me a sense of accomplishment. The 745Li is a refined automobile; I had the 740iL, and power delivery is much smoother. You can really feel BMW's adaptive ride control/roll stabilization on clover-shaped onramps. Power can be applied at will.
