What is the MDX?
The MDX has been Acura's midsize luxury three-row SUV since the 2001 model year. It was redesigned in 2022 and benefits from sleeker exterior styling, additional legroom in all three rows and other interior updates. This fourth-generation MDX has upped its luxury quotient by way of an improved interior with high-end materials such as open-pore wood, stainless steel speaker covers, and a multitude of available upholstery selections. The MDX is available in a standard 290-horsepower version and a sport-oriented Type S model, which adds an additional 65 hp and a number of performance enhancements. Our editors have praised the MDX's comfortable front seats, generous cargo area and suite of advanced driver aids, among other things.
In 2023, Acura added complimentary maintenance for the first two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. This should cover standard oil and filter changes, tire rotations and multipoint inspections. The automaker has also thrown in three free years of AcuraLink telematics services. AcuraLink allows the driver to access certain vehicle functions from their smartphone, provides in-vehicle Wi-Fi, and opens up Amazon Alexa integration.
Since the MDX is relatively fresh off its redesign, we don't expect any major changes to the 2024 Acura MDX. A new color might be added or certain features may be shuffled around to become standard or part of a different package.
