Road tripping

This SUV is awesome. I have had mine for about 3 months now and I can't complain. Looked at the Tahoe, Yukon, and Trailblazer and nothing compares. What it lacks in towing power it makes up in handling. It rides like a car on the highway, and takes the off-road like a truck. I just got back from a camping trip, pulling a popup camper, without a problem. Even got 19mpg. If you need a huge SUV, this is not for you, but if you want an SUV that can maneuver the dirt path just as well as the Wal-Mart parking lot, look no further. Take a test drive; you will be hooked.

Very impressive SUV. Makes the old body style feel like a Tercel. No more body roll, and allot less wind and road noise. If you drive an 04 you will never drive the old body style again! Rides and handles excellent. Seems to be priced high to there competition, but hopefully it will hold value well. Sold an 02 Yukon for this, and so far it is just as good, just a little smaller.

2004 low tire pressure indicator came on. Pressures checked 34-35 lbs. Called dealer service department. Following his directions, the indicator did NOT reset. The owner's manual says system checks spare tire as well as the others. Another Toyota dealer said this was the 2nd 2004 4Runner they had seen with this problem. Explanation: tires are aired to 60 lbs. at the factory. Dealer make ready did NOT check the spare. The low tire pressure system also checks for HIGH tire pressure and/or pressure difference between the tires. To reset the indicator, hit the ODO/TRIP button until the mileage indicates, then hit RESET.

This truck is amazing. The six is just as good as the 8, if not better. It drives like a car, it's smooth, and has a turning radius that is unbelievable. NOTHING but good things to say about it.

Just purchased the 05 SR5 4WD with the V8 and absolutely love it. Definitely better since the redesign in '03. Finally offered the 3rd seat option which is a definite plus. However, the 3rd seat eliminated the option for the sunroof(which I still don't understand) and any possibility to upgrade the stereo system! I've also noticed that w/3rd seat, the middle row seat is definitely not as comfortable but certainly worth the trade-off. V8 is definitely the way to go versus the V6 with only a minimal decrease in gas mileage......Styling is awesome!
