Extremely quiet, well built vehicle. Comfortable on long trips trips to the beach to drive out right to the ocean's edge and fish.

2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Rwd 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Like it better than the '01 Audi A4 I traded in on it. Gas mileage is better than expected at 18.2 (based on my own calculations, but close to the display's 18.1). Plenty of top in power with great passing ability...surprised me actually that the acceleration is as good as it is. Really enjoy driving it!!! Also, totally recommend Toyota of Orange in Southern California

Favorite Features

Dash layout, rear roll-down window, Cargo room, horsepower

Suggested Improvements

More TRD parts (where's the supercharger for the V6????)

2004 Toyota 4Runner Limited Rwd 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

Review

Wanted a BMW X5 4.4 but also wanted proven reliability and piece of mind. The 4runner with XREAS, v8 and mated to the silky smoothe 5spd were good enough. Also do not have to worry about an extened warrenty given Toyota reliability. Getting 18mpg with suburban and 20+ highway driving. Very happy with purchase.

Favorite Features

The leather interior, quite ride, and smoothe engine and drivetrain.

Suggested Improvements

Two more inchs of leg room in front and rear. More cargo capacity. More power output from the JBL Navigation and bulit in CD changer. memory for power seats. Dealers that do not waste time haggling when you show them the Edmunds TMV price.

2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Rwd 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

After weeks of research, and several test-drives, I found the 4Runner to be the best overall vehicle for my budget. This truck kicks serious butt and the price is very reasonable. Its great to look at, in and out, and the engine performance is amazing. The only drawback is the gas mileage! Beware!!

Favorite Features

If you live in So. Cal, the sunroof is a must option. One touch driver-side window, sunroof, and rear window make closing up the vehicle a cinch.

Suggested Improvements

Standard in-dash 6 CD with cassette (for my Ipod!), one-touch passenger window, and key remote should close, as well as open rear window. Also, I like to see a hybrid-4Runner. Is that possible?!?

Review

I've had one of each of the four generations of 4Runner and this is the best yet. So far it had exceeded the other three in every category except poddibly exterior style. For my use, it does everything very well.
