Over-RATED!!!

Well honestly I was expecting more out of all this propaganda. I was expecting te performance of this vehicle to be very close to the American V8s, but it's another over-rated V6 "wanna-be" sport car. . The driving of the car is no different than the Altima. But this of course is only my opinion about my 350Z.

I own the Performance model. Nissan did it right! It is obvious the Nissan has been putting out excellant product over the last 2 years and the Z is their best. It is simply a beautiful car that is fun to drive. If I had to find a complaint it would be no door protective molding (dings)and the location of the power outlet for my cell phone.

3 Months Later

After three months with the new 350Z the new car feeling has started to fade but the sheer fun of driving the 350Z is still way up there. A periscope would be nice for backing up and lane changing but it is, after all, a sports car and you have to accept a few minor inconveniences unless you're Bill Gates. I'm not Bill Gates. The engine is just incredible with it's strong pulling power from any gear at any speed but second and third will put you right back in your seat when you press the fun pedal. The performance edition does not have the Brembo brakes but when you decide you've had enough, the standard brakes still bring the car to a stop quickly and smoothly.

My goal was to find the best performing/fun to drive car. I ended up with the 350Z. The Z is a ton of fun to drive: from it's throaty exhaust, to its extremely low stance and amazing handling... For those who need a backseat: see the Infiniti G35.

Perhaps I got a lemon from the factory, or I just had bad luck... but here is a laundry list of problems that I've had with the car (at 4000) miles 1. Uneven tire wear (18" Performance wheels) attributed to bad alignment, fixed by Nissan under warranty. 2. Grinding 3rd gear 3. Stitching on passenger side seat coming apart 4. Faulty Rack & Pinion (car won't steer at idle... making parallel parking impossible (replaced under warranty) 5. Assorted rattles from interior. However, performance and value of this car are unprecedented, and it is very hard finding a car with this much performance for the price.
