    Have the same issue the rear breaks are wearing out especially on the outboard side of the pads. I have a 2008 Santa Fe. The rear passenger side wore out in 2010. The other side in 2011. The front ones seem to be okay. But the tire wear on the rear wheels is significant. There should be a recall issued for this problem. I replaced both sides already.

    That's exactly the message Hyundai used when the 2006 Sonata debuted, and I think Honda also with the 2008 Accord. Likewise, you hear carmakers e.g. Hyundai and Nissan talk about their "compact cars with mid-sized room".

    I recently traded a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz, and I got what I owed on it, which was roughly $26k. What trim of Veracruz was it? 2008's are advertised on AutoTrader in my area from $19,000 to $26,000 retail for AWD models. You are saying you got $26K for trade value?

    Yes it is shocking. Hyundai does have high residual value. I recently traded a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz, and I got what I owed on it, which was roughly $26k. I paid 34k for it, drove it for 2 years, and wind up upside down on the loan. I can truthfully say I was shocked.

    Have you driven the Fusion? Personally I prefer its blend of ride and handling over the Accord. I think the current-gen Accord has lost some of its handling crispness from past generations, albeit is smoother without the "feel every pebble" ride from pre-2008.     The problem is the torque converter for #1 and probably #2. The torque converter in locked when you are stopping so there is no slippage to allow the engine to idle. This should be 100% in warrenty unless you have driven 100,000 miles.

    Sounds like a kinked hose to me. Or maybe the carbon canister is full of gas. Have you ever "topped off" the tank? That can force gas into the carbon canister. The last recall by Hyundai on the 2008 Sonata was 18 months ago, for the OCS. I'd think those cars would have been fixed by now.

    Probably goes back to the initial debut of the Gen 4 Sonata in the U.S. in early 2005, as a 2006 model. Hyundai introduced the next model year early in the preceding year since then.
