i own a 2001 civic lx coupe silver with a 4sp auto. i love this car, it has been very good to me and never left me stranded. i have heard about tranny problems but have never had any myself. i only have 78,000 and am easily expecting to get 250-300,000 out of it. the only complaint is the small wheels it comes with but that is all.

This car drives good, but it has a lack of conveniences like you can't lock the driver's door by pushing the lock down and shutting the door, it works for the passenger door. You have to use the key to lock it. The locks for the doors seem like they are too far back on the door. Same with the seatbelts, they seem like they are way back in the back seats. The visors are poorly made and are hard to move . My son and his friend had Hondas and both had the driver's side visor broke off. I'm like 5 feet 1 inch and I can't see out the front window well. I feel like I sink down into the seat limiting my view. I have to sit on a pillow to see out the window. Also, I often hit my head trying to get into the car. It's hard getting in the back seat on a 2 door car. It's also hard getting out of the car as you get older, too low to the ground. There is not a gas cap that is connected to the car, it's by itself, easy to forget it. Also you have to adjust your side mirrors manually. It's hard to adjust the passenger side in the driver's seat. No electric windows and no way to crack the side windows open in the back seat, it is suffocating. It doesn't seem very comfortable or roomy inside. It seems to drive ok The gas mileage doesn't seem that great at all for a small car. It is just a basic generic car that will get you somewhere with none of the convience or comfort.
