YONKERS, New York — The Chevrolet Volt is ranked at the top of Consumer Reports' Owner-Satisfaction survey for the second year in a row. The redesigned Nissan Versa sedan came in with the lowest score in the survey.

Ninety-two percent of Volt owners said they would buy the car again. Fewer than half of Versa sedan owners said they would definitely buy it again.

"The Volt's two-year reign at the top of our satisfaction survey points to the continuing trend of owners' enthusiasm for cars that are fuel efficient, especially as we see more and more hybrid and electric models hitting the market," said Rik Paul, Consumer Reports auto editor, in a statement on Thursday.

Consumers were enthusiastic about other fuel-efficient models, including the Toyota Camry Hybrid, Prius and Prius C and the Nissan Leaf.

The Chevrolet Corvette, Porsche 911, Dodge Challenger V8 and Ford Mustang topped the sporty car category in the survey. The Audi A7, Lexus GS and Audi A6 were the leading luxury cars.

Other low-scoring vehicles included the V6 versions of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, the Nissan Armada, Suzuki SX4 and Mitsubishi Outlander.

The survey included responses from owners of 350,000 vehicles and more than 240 models from the 2010-'13 model years.

Edmunds says: More vindication for the Chevrolet Volt.
