Used 2008 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Cab Consumer Reviews
Can't wait to jump in and drive
I am 42 and I have owned 51 vehicles since 1984. I always thought Toyota had a bland design so I never bought until 2007. Now I LOVE Toyota. Seems all their efforts go into the important aspects of a vehicle, not "bells and whistles" I am so JACKED about my new Tundra and struggle to find anything significantly wrong. Just LOVE the Tundra!!!
Good Truck
I bought my truck in March of 08. I have a 3" lift (max lift under warranty) with 22" wheels. I also put a magnaflow exhaust and Toyota intake. THe navagation system is weak, it is not user friendly like my Acura TL's nav. MPG are 12.8 to 13.5. I thought it would do a little better, but I'm sure the lift has something to do with the low MPG. Lots of power and the stereo system is pretty good (JBL). A lot of cargo room, I'm 6'3" and I fit comfortably. I am a Chevy guy, but I wanted to try the Toyota. I don't think you can go wrong with the Silverado or Toyota, the others just can't compete.

2008 Toyota Tundra SR5
The crew max is very roomy. The truck has a modern interior like a car and drives very smooth. Everything thing you could want in a truck - power, smoothness, and comfort. Better gas mileage than dodge but could be better (what can you expect for a truck).
Everyone's Happy
As a family we needed room for everyone, this backseat is huge. The included safety equipment is a plus over other competitors. Bought a SR5 w/navigation (hard to find, but $8,000 less than a limited model) to get the rear view camera, includes bluetooth connection & upgraded stereo. Love the power of the 5.7, can tow the 19 ft boat (approx 4500 lb) without knowing it's back there.
Tundra Crew Max SR5
Good truck I have had Chevrolet / Dodge this my first Toyota. Great engine I have got 21 MPG with the big engine key is to use the cruise and leave it at 70 MPH. I also use either Mobil 1 or Valvoline Synthetic which helps a little. I wish Toyota had the compass in the SR5 package. Visibility is the worst of any truck I have had big blind spots could be fixed with split mirrors, but I did not want the towing mirrors. I bought the CrewMax for the rear leg room it is by far the biggest rear seat room cab. I am amazed that to change the oil the skid plate must be removed. I work for an automotive supplier and we supply all of the big 3 and transplants Toyota has the toughest specs.
