Don't even consider buying a Toyota Sienna

This Mini Van gas mileage is no where near the listed amount on the sticker. We drove the Mini Van on a 3,900 mile trip which was 99% open road and averaged just over 22 miles per gallon. The Navigation system is terrible and we had to us the Garmin on the trip. Zero dealer support. I have owned two Avalon's and one Sienna in the past and this current Sienna is not up to past standards. I will never purchase another Toyota in my life.

Happy I Moved Up To The 2017

I traded in my 2011 Sienna LE for this 2017 XLE. While the exterior is the same (it's time for a redesign), the cars are very different. The guts of the car, the engine and transmission (8 speed) are all new. While the transmission can be a little hesitant, if you keep your foot on the gas, it quickly figures out what you want. The biggest change from my previous Sienna is the steering being lighter. It's kind of like driving a luxury limo. This car came with the XLE Navigation Package which takes some getting use to, but, overall I enjoy the new technology features. I am happy I moved up to the 2017.

A disgrace to the Toyota name

We have owned 3 Toyotas in the past, all with Excellent experiences (great quality components, very few repairs, reasonable maintenance costs, all driven into the 150K-200K mile range). We bought our 2017 Toyota Sienna brand new. At around 15K miles wheel bearing needed replaced. At 33K miles we had to replace the tires. At 40K the automatic window switch went bad. At 43K a Strut went bad and had to be replaced. From about 20K miles one there has been a clunking sound when we go over a bump, come to a stop, or accelerate, and the dealer has not been able to find out where the noise is coming from. Engine noise and the Air Conditioning vent noise are significantly louder than our prior 2008 sienna. We are so disappointed and dissatisfied with our 2017 Toyota Sienna and now are not confident in purchasing another Toyota again.

BUY A TOYOTA WITHOUT A 8 SPEED AUTO WHILE YOU CAN

This is a great van the only problem is the eight speed transmission that not many reviews I read befor I bought metioned. The transmission in this van gear hunts not in town or accellerating but at cruise even at 80 mph on fairly level terrain it will change gears constantly. I'm not saying all new vehicles don't do this its a problem across the board. I was initially going to but a 2016 for this very reason then there was a safety recall and they told me I couldn't but one till 8/1/17. I resorted to buying a 2017. Now with less than 1000 miles on it I already have figures to trade as soon as they can sell me a 2016. I am not totally blaming Toyota here I think this a e.p.a. B.S. problem about gas mileage test. So like I said but a 2011-2016 while you still can.

"A Golf Car Dressed As A Minivan"

I've been driving a minivan for quite a few years now & tried them all out, I was really looking forward for this new 2017 Sienna XLE until I actually got it... For starters, Its engine is as noisy as a sports car but drives like a Golf Car, the pickup is terrible & I mean "TERRIBLE", I've owned a Toyota Camry & was very impressed so going into this Sienna I wouldn't think twice, But this was a terrible mistake... But of course there's no backing out once you sign the dotted line.. I would rather drive a 99 Town & Country, Toyota should really be ashamed of themselves for releasing such a vehicle & should recall all of there 2017 Sienna's until they figure things out.. Do yourself a favor & stay away from this minivan for now!!!
