Horrible wind noise- Do not buy a Sequoia
I bought a Platinum edition Sequoia. Love the towing capacity at 9000 lbs. The fit and finish on the inside is nice. Love the big touchscreen. Now for the real issue. Wind noise. The vehicle sounds like there is a window open when you drive over 55 mph. On my vehicle, the drivers side passenger window has a very bad air leak and the wind noise is crazy loud at highway speeds. Now for the crazy part. I had the vehicle 3 weeks. Took it back to the dealership. They replaced a window guide and said problem solved. Drove it away and it was the same. No improvement. Took it back a second time to the Toyota dealer. Reported the problem still exists. They drove the vehicle and verified the wind noise. Service manager opens a case number with Toyota engineers for guidance on how to fix the problem. Three days later Toyota comes back and says, "there are no known or suggested repairs for the problem with my vehicle". Service manager tells me that there may be a fix recommended in the future but not at this time. Read between those lines. Just go drive your car with crazy wind noise and we will call you some day (maybe) with a fix. Totally unacceptable from Toyota. One would think that when a customer pays $80,000 for a car that they would bend over backwards to keep a high dollar customer satisfied. Nope. Toyota appears to not care one bit about their customer base. I have owned several Toyota's over the past 30 years. I am shocked that this is what Toyota has evolved into. There are many complaints out there about wind and road noise in the Tundra's and Sequoia's. This may not be an issue with every one of them, but if you are looking to buy one, please test drive it on the highway with the radio off and listen for the wind noise. If you hear it do not buy it.

Solid performance - more battery please!
For a vehicle this size and weight the performance is great. The intermittent hybrid works seamless and would benefit from more battery to allow for more use in the city driving. Don't be fooled there is plenty of horsepower and acceleration when you want it or need it... but if you are more gentle with the throttle then you can really maximize the mileage and exceed the ratings given expectably in the city driving situation. Highway the hybrid doesn't seem to add much to the mileage but the V6 still provides about 22mpg on highway... much more than the older V8. Reliability is still TBD and after seeing the recall on the Tundra V6 (not hybrid) will make me more cautious of any signs this Sequoia exhibits and I will bring to dealer immediately.

Great SUV
I think people are being way too critical of this sequoia, it’s got great power, drives fantastic, and looks great. Now I don’t haul a ton of stuff but the trunk area is fine to carry what I need. I bought the Toyota for its long term reliability. I really love my Toyota. 4/4/24, I am updating this review, still love it and I am getting 20.1MPG as average, no issues since I bought it.

TRD PRO IS LEGEND!
The reviews are garbage, space wise it has a shelf that gives you plenty of cargo space so stop crying, the TRD PRO has an amazingly smooth drive and suspension system is off the charts. Go ahead grab a Chevy or ford etc….. even luxury and watch the value plummet meanwhile the sequoia holds strong. I don’t know about trim levels but if it ain’t the TRD pro you get what you pay for. So far this ride has been perfect for the family we traded Mazda CX-90 for this bad girl!
