would own
Rented for a 2k+mile family trip. I have not been interested in ANY car past Model year 2004. I am pleased and surprised in this vehicle. The 8-speed auto is perfectly geared for the 4-cyl, good on fuel, great on space for a loaded trip for 2-4 people. Sound system is good sans the factory speakers. The really easy to find on/off switch for the start/stop function is great for keeping me from losing my mind driving it. Wish it had paddle shifter pads on the steering wheel instead of just bumping the shifter. 225/65/17 tires lends to a softish ride, I can't imagine the 18/19" wheels would make the ride better, but I'm sure the handling and steering response would improve, really needs better anti- roll bars. Interior wind noise is enough to keep looking around driving at highway speeds if a window is open. I am impressed, just not on the sticker price or factory fill weight of oil. Lots of torque converter shudder but that's easily fixed with good trans fluid/additive. I wouldn't bother with a turbo if I owned it, just make it breathe right and make sure it stays relatively quiet on the exhaust side and It would be perfect for my needs. If I wanted a power trip my Subaru/Honda/and/or Duramax would fit the bill. My yaris has spoiled me with cupholders, which this vehicle does not have enough of. Eco mode is great as it is not constantly shifting to lower gears at small throttle angles trying to stay around its torque peak as it is a 4-cylinder and it's powerband is going to offer one only so much. Not too bad of a gripe; but it does have looks only a mother can love, and for some being low-key and dismissed is much more desirable than having many staring at you plotting.

RAV4 Just ok
My recent purchase of a 2025 Toyota RAV4 LE, trading in my reliable 2016 Camry, has unfortunately left me with significant buyer's remorse. While I appreciate the smoother ride and higher seating position of the RAV4, those are the only positives I can consistently identify. I wasn't looking for a car with "bells and whistles," but I did expect basic modern conveniences. Perhaps my biggest frustration stems from the absence of automatic headlights on the LE trim. My 2016 Camry had this feature, and it's truly baffling that a brand-new 2025 model, even a base trim, lacks such a fundamental safety and convenience option. While I understand the XLE trim offers this, it feels like a default inclusion for all new cars in this day and age. Another major point of contention is the auto start/stop feature. I find its constant engagement and disengagement jarring and unwelcome during my daily drives. While I've since learned this can be disabled, it's an immediate annoyance I shouldn't have to contend with in a new vehicle. Ultimately, my heart remains with the Camry. I truly wanted a new one, but Toyota's decision to offer them only as hybrid models pushed me towards the RAV4. In hindsight, that decision has proven to be a significant disappointment. This RAV4 LE simply doesn't deliver the intuitive comfort and expected features that I'd grown accustomed to and valued in my Camry. I will be paying it off and getting rid of this mediocre model as soon as possible.

2024 limited a great suv
Picked up our 24 rav4 limited hybrid and we are very pleased. It’s comfortable to drive and it’s quite responsive. Gas mileage is acceptable at this pont with high 30s and it’s reasonably quiet. Love the styling and with the Michelin Primacy tires it works well. I would certainly recommend it as a good purchase. By the way the tech is easy to manage.

My new Rav4
So far I love it! This is my first RAV4 I drive a Camry for 30 years!!! I just hope this holds up to the Camry. I’m learning all the new features. I’m not a fan of the car turning off when you mash the break. If you can turn that off we can’t figure out how. I have not been able to keep my car hooked to the Toyota app. I have to start all over each time the car is turned off. So I basically just gave up on the app. Over all I am loving it

Rental with 30,000 miles
Nearly top of the line vehicle...is a chunk...with wheels. Underpowered too. Squeaks galore and just plain not classy. We have 2 Kia souls that outperform, handle better...one with 50,000 on it...1 tiny squeak. The Rav 5 engine sounds like a meat grinder...sorry I rented it!
