We LOVE this Prius

The gas mileage and the engineering that went into the design and of this car is supurb. It proves that hybird cars can be built and are in demand in this country. We waited 8 months for ours; now the anticipated wait is 18 months. We had the choice of the car that came in with its factory options.

425 miles and i still had a bar left on my fuel tank, this is the best car to have when you have to travel 68 miles to and from work everyday! i even went as high as 60/mpg, oh yes, i put that $4000.00 battery to use baby!!

We live in Western New York (Buffalo). We took delivery of this vehicle in November of 2004 after a wait of 4 months. We were originally told that the order time could be up to 6 months. We have found that the average mileage since delivery is approx. 42 mpg. This is less than the sticker estimates. I spoke to a Toyota product specialist for Prius at the the Detroit Auto Show in January and he told me that the cold weather could be the biggest factor affecting MPG at this time. I have spoken to 2 other Prius owners in this city and they are getting similar mileage. Otherwise we are very pleased with the quality and design of the vehicle and are happy with out purchase.

I have owned numerous autos but have never owned a vehicle that was more satisfying than the Prius. It is very responsive and a pure joy to drive.

After reading all the reviews for the Prius, I finally test drove it. Did I mention I loved it? I had to go 1 hour out of my way to get the car I wanted (right away) but it was well worth it. Interior is roomy for its size, and I feel comfortable, which is saying a lot since I just downgraded from a minivan. It seats two full carseats comfortably and rides smoothly. It works great for my commute to work, and is fun to drive (I got the BC-pkg 6).
