I love my Prius

I recently drove from Richmond, VA to Cold Spring, NY and averaged 63.5 mpg. It was the most comfortable trip I have ever taken. I wouldn't trade my Prius for anything (other than maybe another Prius). I would have given each category more than 10 if possible.

This is like driving a dream! I really bought the car because of the clean burn, the gas millage was just an added benefit! I had been asking around for many years about this car. I went in cold without even a test drive. I was convinced that the damage done by the emissions of our internal combustion engines was going to kill us all after it destroyed our enviorment. I own a '96 Lincoln Town Car and a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I use as a tow vehicle for my 26' sailboat. The Prius outpreforms both of my Cars!! I covered the Lincoln! I do use the Jeep in snow conditions. I'm 74 and I guess you would call me an aggressive driver- I have never owned a better car!!

I love my Prius

I've had my Prius for 2 1/2 months and 3500 miles and really like it. It's not only economical, but it is fun to drive- particularlly past $2.15/gal gas pumps. The High-tech display gives a feeling of driving a much more expensive luxury car. If you want XM radio which is not offered through the Toyota package- the XM modual for the Sonoma is plug in ready.

I went from a comfortable mid size SUV to the Prius a couple of months ago. I knew I would save money on gas but thought I would be giving up comfort (or something) in return. I did't, granted I can't tow a boat with it but for everyday use and even long trips it really can't be beat! We have traveled a few hundred miles with 4 adults and no problems. The acceleration for highway driving is fine, no different than most other cars. It is a challenge to reverse everything we have learned as drivers to conserve fuel, ie: stop and go gets better mileage. The EPA estimates at 55hwy/60city I find a bit over rated but I have been averaging 48 mpg and did reach 50 mpg on my last tank.

While fuel economy has always been a priority to us, we've never before found this kind of fuel economy (WOW!), convenience and comfort (luxury for us), AND "sports car look/feel" along with a comfortable "get-in and get-out" (for our back ease). All of this, plus the "get up and go without hesitation" when needed...a perfect car in our book!!
