Used 2005 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
Prius gets good marks, so far!
Currently getting 46-47 mpg. 90% highway driving. The vehicle has operated flawlessly during the two months that I have had it. I am concerned about the stalling issue but the dealership has said that the problem is with earlier models.
Prius Pride
We are proud to own a Prius since it answers part of the oil supply and the global warming growing crises. The instrumentation and human engineering are supurb and quicky help train a driver for maximum fuel economy. We are now considering a second Prius. I only wish that Toyota would add rack and pinion steering for better wind stability. A larger battery with plug-in capability should be added for the next generation!

Toyota Prius
I am very happy with my prius, but the mileage advertised is not accurate. I have been averaging about 47mpg around town, and 48 on the highway. The service has been very good, but I have about 6000 miles on it. The hatchback gives ample room, with the seats down, I get more storage room than in my Accura sedan, It is surprisingly comfortable, and handles well at high speeds. The quietest car I have ever owned. And importantly, it is better for the environment
Highly Recommended
I have had my Prius for 2 weeks. It is very quiet, comfortable and fuel effecient. It has enough power to pass when needed. Brakes are very responsive. Interior space about the same as a Camry. Electric steering is precise, if a little dead feeling. I fill up for $22.00 and go over 500 miles. Smart key is very good - the key stays in your pocket all the time. This car is very good value for the money not just because of the mileage but because of the advanced technology. It is about the same price as a Camry but far more advanced. I'll let you know about reliability in ten years ...
I love my Prius
I love driving my Prius. It is as smooth as a Magic Carpet Ride. It is soft and easy to handle and yet still has the European feel when driving, just softer and quieter. The touch screens are easy to work with and it shows me in several ways exactly how much gasoline it is using and how many gallons per mile it is using at any given time. It teaches you how to drive safer and more carefully to not use as much gasoline and after 1100 miles, I'm averaging, realistically, 47 miles per gallon.
