Used 2005 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
Life is funny... Great car, great mileage
When I was young, it was all about trying to break the land speed record. Now that I'm 40ish, it's all about squeezing the most out of a gallon of gas. This car has a lot more gitty-up than you'd expect. In terms of MPG, which is why we buy these cars, my overall is averaging about 46 MPG, BUT, I understand that this figure is supposed to go up as the car is broken in. I have noticed that my last 3 tanks have resulted in higher MPG with each new fill up. In terms of the extras, well, it's unbelievable. Oh, and I just applied for the California sticker that will allow me to drive in the carpool lane without a passenger.
Best car I've ever owned in 50 years!!!
Great comfort, reliability, and saves a ton of money! Best car ever!!!

Prius
Great car. Would purchase another one when our family needs another car. I get over 50 mpg.
Great Car Coming From An SUV Owner
This car runs great and in some ways has more power than my Nissan Xterra did. I am currently getting around 48 mpg and love passing those gas stations! I first thought my gas gage was broken because I had driven 170 miles and my fuel gage was still on full! The fuel gage does drop faster one you get to 200 miles but currently I am over 300 miles at a half a tank. I expect to get 500 miles between fill ups. I wish the trunk was bigger because I have to drop down one seat to put my golf clubs in. The auto climate control is great! Living in a cold climate (lots of snow) I can see the interior getting dirty fast. Overall it is a great car. I am converted from being an SUV owner.
80,000 miles and counting
We have over 80,000 miles on our Prius and only bought new tires and oil/filter changes. We have owned over a dozen new vehicles from Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Dodge and Chrysler and this is the BEST vehicle we've owned. Read more comments on the interior room (my son-in-law is 6'4" and has more than enough room in the back seat. I have six houses and have hauled 8 foot 2x4's in it and even stoves and clothes dryers. I was in a national test in the "early years" and the mpg was 50.9 for the first two years of driving. It is doing well and I smile each time we fill it up. Can't wait for the 2010 to get 60+ mpg.
