2003 Toyota Highlander SUV Limited Fwd 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)
I have owned this car for 15 years, and am only getting ready to trade it in for a 2018 Highlander because the repairs have recently become costly. Within the last couple of years or so, I've had to replace the air conditioning condenser and compressor (about $2,200), power steering fluid pump ($1,000), alternator and battery ($270 - only because the alternator had a lifetime warranty), all four rotors and front calipers ($800), and a few smaller repairs. But prior to that, I only had routine maintenance costs. It has truly been a great car and I have been extremely happy with my purchase. The highlights of this model are the quiet ride, seat comfort, heated side mirrors (which at the time were a new feature), reliability, and JBL speaker sound quality. I will miss this car!

Super dependable, good mileage, generally user friendly. Great interior layout for comfort and utility. Can haul an amazing amount. Negatives are a bit too much road noise and poor visibility of deeply sunk in gauges and speedometer.

This has been a very reliable car, and we have only replaced two oxygen sensors, other than normal wear items like brakes, etc. The only negative to this vehicle is the gas mileage. We are getting 18 mpg overall. The interior is holding up well, with a slight tear in the drivers seat. My daughter was in a rear end accident, and the bumper was ripped but the rear structure remained intact. The other car's front end was totaled, so we rate the safety in this type of crash as excellent.
