Used 1993 Toyota Corolla Sedan Consumer Reviews
Just got a 93 Corolla
I was just given a 1993 Corolla LE with 54,000 miles on it. It belonged to my in-laws and not driven much. They purchased the car brand new so I am now the 2nd owner. So far this car is great on gas, it sure beats my mini van. I hope to keep it in the family for a long, long time.
My first car
Bought my 1.8 liter DX sedan used in 1997 and I've driven it 90k miles since. Only major maintainance issues were the starter and alternator within the past year. Currently have 148k miles and it's been ultra reliable. Repainting was necessary when the top layer of paint chipped off in spots soon after I bought it. Recently engine noise and vibration has increased. Looking forward to getting the 2003 Corolla.

Great little car
This was my car in college. Drove well, required little maintenance, and never really needed service.
Still Running great
This is a great car. My previous car I was always in the shop getting something or another fixed. I have never had anything major fixed on it. It run great even in the dead of winter it starts right up.
partners in life
Bought new in 1993, my only new car purchase and easily the best money I ever spent. On the road from New England to California, then to Florida and even north to Quebec City and back, the car has never had an on the road problem in seventeen years. Yes, I've had to put a good deal of money into replacements lately (water pump, struts, radiator, gas tank) but we all get old, right? My biggest disappointment was Toyota's decision to replace it with the Matrix (a far less attractive model) when it was still available as a wagon in Europe. With a bike rack on top and spare sleeping bag and other essentials in the spacious rear cargo area, I've always felt ready for anything.
