Used 2003 Toyota Celica Hatchback Consumer Reviews
The 4 banger that could
A great 2 person ride. Back seat OK for kids. Great handling (You just want to take drives went ever you can). Performance is surprising for a 4 cycl. Ok low end gearing, great high end gearing. Road noise. Great performance ride for the price.
My '03 Celica
This was my first brand spanking new car at 40yrs of age. I wanted a car that was sporty, yet economical. This car suits me fine since I am only 5'1". My children are all older so I really didn't care about the comfort of the backseat. We have taken it on many road trips, it is a bit cramped for my husband who is 5'9", but if I drive (which I always do) he can adjust and we always bring plenty of pillows. I do not regret for a moment buying this car since I do put about 27,000 miles/year on her, but she is holding up wonderfully even in the worst weather the Northeast has to offer. Thanks Toyota, I love my Celica :)

CELICA- FANTASTIC BUY!
THE CELICA IS A GREAT CAR. IT HAS A GREAT PICKUP AND IS VERY ECONOMICAL ON GAS. IT GIVES YOU A SMOOTH RIDE. THE ONLY SET BACK ABOUT THE CELICA GT IS THAT THE BACK SEATS ARE A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE AND THE FRONT SEATS DON'T CONTOUR AS MUCH AS THEY SHOULD. OTHER THAN THAT, I WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD!
"Auto. Celica is a DOG!!", Toyota Rep
After explaining problems to Toyota Rep, he said "Celica GTS with an Automatic trans is a "dog". It performs exactly like you described, there's nothing mechanically wrong with the car." He said "You signed for the car, you own it." I was flabbergasted. I asked if Toyota planned to continue to manufacture this car he said yes. You can't rely on any power when accelerating from a stop. I floor the gas pedal at a stop, I get no acceleration. DO NOT BUY THIS DOG!!
I wanted a 1998 TT Supra but no luck
I like my car just that i think a supra is the way to go. Especially since they are coming out in 2004 i am going to be first in line to get one .. Man I can't wait to buy one.
