Camry is best, proven by long experience

2019 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)

Been driving my '19 Camry LE since Feb 2020. Got it from a big H rental company@17k miles and 10 months old. I only paid eighteen g's. Up to 41k miles now. Winter/Summer mpg is 38/43. The naysayers are all wet. Plenty of pickup when needed. This is the XV70 series, non-hybrid (years '18-'21). The 8 spd transmission and elegently engineered 4 cyl delivers performance and fuel efficiency unmatched. The engine has BOTH direct and multiport injection plus much more...(https://www.motorreviewer.com/engine.php?engine_id=127) The handling, electronic sway control, stability, wet road control and ride couldn't be better. Other safety, interior and handy features are very nice. Don't let sales sway you by the color of the seats or carpet. Remember what really counts. Before this Camry, I've owned a 1999 (for 20 years) and a 1984 (for 16 years). Camry's are durable, reliable, serviceable and maintainable for the long stretch! They'll outlast almost any other vehicle, with just basic service and without major breakdowns. You won't regret your choice.

Antifreeze/Coolant Odor

Paula, 02/20/2021
2019 Toyota Camry SE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 8A)

I purchased a 2019 Toyota Camry in October of 2019. The car wreaks of the smell of antifreeze. I have taken it into the service department, and they say they smell it too, but it is not a defect. I even contacted Toyota Corporate and they also said it was not a defect. I reached out to the general manager about the problem numerous times via phone and email. No response. I am sure if they were driving the car it would be a different story. I can't tell you the number of people who have let me know they think I have a coolant link. I thought this would be my last car purchase, and I was set to go for the duration of my life. However, now I am in the position of having to come up with the money to replace this car with another one. I tried to ignore the odor, but I have reached the point I can't take it anymore. I will not be buying a Toyota. I always loved my Toyotas. I am disappointed. I recently traded it in for a Honda and will never buy another Toyota.

I bought this 2019 Camry in July of 19. It a XLE 4 dr. 6 cylinder. In Jan of this yr, it accelerated on its own & hit my Mother’s carport. Has anyone had any problems like this? Has a recall on fuel pump, no remedy yet.

Worst Car Ever, horrible exterior and interior

Shame on Toyota, their quality has been going down tremendously recently. My 2019 Camry has the most engine and transmission problems from every car I have owned so far. I owned a 2012 Audi A4, 2009 Kia Optima, and a 2005 Infiniti G35. This car has the most problems by far and it’s the newest one. I thought the exterior design was fine until my cousin told me it looked very cheap and ugly. I also noticed that some models doesn’t even have a start button. Are we in the 2000s or the late 2010s? My climate control broke off after four months. Toyota has to upgrade their interior from cheap plastic. Please do yourself a favor and please don’t buy the 2019 Camry or any future Camrys unless they completely redesign and fix their problems.
