Used 2022 Toyota 4Runner Consumer Reviews
Driving Ms Mary
Handles like a dream on wet services or snow great ground clearance. Surprisingly comfortable ride. The only thing We had to get use to was turning raidius and toggling from radio to Android auto takes 2 screen pushes.

A real SUV.
Drives and handles great, plenty of room and quiet inside. My only complaint is it lacks power....

Exterior Paint
Paint on the exterior is incredibly thin. I was advised by the service manager they now use 2 mil paint as opposed to the previous 4 mil paint on previous versions! Within two months of owning the 4Runner, I have 2 huge dings on my door. I purchased the paint protection program for $200 which, per the description given at the time of purchase! The sales manager in Tuscaloosa AL advised me that was not the case. The paint protection plan protects from bird droppings. Toyota is a joke!
Very Disappointed
Just purchased a new 2022 4 Runner limited. Trading up from my 2006 Limited. I cannot believe the lack of power the 2022 has. Getting rid of the 8 cylinder engine was a huge mistake. The gas mileage is almost identical to my 2006 with the v-8. Biggest mistake I ever made. Not worth the $53,000 i had to let go of to get.

Disappointing
After many years of new cars including 3 4Runners along with FJ, Tacoma and Tundra bought this 2023 4runner on line , new and without driving. How disappointing . The seats are so uncomfortable for long drives, the backup camera is dangerous and the back door is a Manuel lift, no auto lift on any model. Imagine how disappointing that is, especially if you are short. The ride is typical 4Runner so that is ok but it seems like Toyota teases you with what you think is a luxury SUV and it is not . I have had better rides that cost 1/2 the price. 2024 update: After almost 2 years of driving this 4Runner and 47k miles my original review is still accurate. The seats are uncomfortable, especially during a long drive. The lumbar support is stationary so if you need it higher or lower , too bad. The Manuel lift back is heavy and if you’re on a downslope very hard to reach. Another complaint is the blue tooth. It picks up all road noise so many times, if you are on an important call you must pull over to be able to be heard. This vehicle is very disappointing and I do not recommend unless you are looking for a short distance, dog hauling SUV.
