2020 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4dr SUV (4.0L 6cyl 5A)

You don't buy a 4runner for the fuel economy or the 3 row seating or cool modern gadgets that come with most newer mid/full-sized model SUVs. You buy a 4runner because it's a 4runner! You buy it because 20 years down the road, it's still running and people still want it! Owned a 1999 4runner and now a beautiful 2019 model. Been through a lot of different vehicles with a few of them being SUVs. I can say with confidence the 4runner won't let you down.

My 1st 4Runner at 55

2020 Toyota 4Runner Nightshade Edition 4dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 5A)

Well first let me say I traded in my 2015 Mustang GT which I bought new for this 2020 Toyota Nightshade 4wd. I wanted to but a Jeep Wrangler. My fiance' is clearly happy I didn't but I needed time to let it all sink in. I cannot say enough what a great change this was. The ride of this 4Runner is MUCH better than people give it credit for. I've had an Explorer before so I know. People write it doesn't have all the luxuries of comparable SUVs like blind spot alert, auto tailgate and auto start. First let me tell you, I rarely even used my blind spot alert for my Mustang and opening the tailgate myself is not a deal breaker. As far as the auto start, I just downloaded Toyota's app so I can now auto start the 4Runner from my phone and lock/unlock the doors with a click of a button!!. The quality inside is definitely there, the 15 speaker JBL sound system sounds better than my old Mustang Shaker system. The slide out tray in the back for loading and unloading items is definitely a nice addition. Now I know why people buy 4Runners. They are durable, dependable and they ALWAYS hold their value. I've had my 4Runner now for a month and I know I made the best decision ever!

2020 Toyota 4Runner Venture Special Edition 4dr SUV 4WD (4.0L 6cyl 5A)

I was looking at both trucks and SUVs and looked both domestically and foreign, specifically the 4Runner as it was a vehicle I liked from the foreign side. I reached out to a local dealer and got a great deal on a new 2020 4Runner Venture. Dealership gave me $6,000 off sticker which included the $500 rebate and a decent price on my trade. I love the features and the looks are just outstanding. This is by far my favorite package for the 4Runner. The rack on top is for looks only though as it can only hold 57 lbs per the brochure. Specifically I love how mine is grey with the grey rims and blacked out emblems. Love the all black and grey look. I wish gas mileage was a bit better, but otherwise love the looks and ride. My has 1500 miles and is getting around 16 mpg, but it is winter and within the break in period, so I hope this goes up some. It is too bad they did not have a least a six speed automatic. Mine came with the KDSS and sunroof as the only options on the package. I did add running boards as well. I looked at the Chevy Trail Boss pickup, GMC AT4, Jeep Rubicon Wranglers, and the Jeep Rubicon Gladiator. This was available at the best price, so I pulled the trigger. The KDSS gives a great ride and keeps the tires firmly planted. I have not had a chance to take it on any trails, but plan to do so. Updating my post and am at 4700 miles. Not driving as much because of COVID-19. Mileage has come up some, but not as much as I would like. Everything else is functioning great, air conditioning should blow colder then it does. Love putting windows down including the rear window & opening sunroof to get close to a convertible feel. Have not added many miles on the 4Runner. I am now at 6700 in miles. COVID shut so much down & currently working from home, so I am no driving much. 4Runner still looks great. I did get the engine light on for a oil change, I was surprised when dealer here in Madison said it did not need to be changed. I opted to get the oil changed as part of the 2 oil change & 4 tire rotations covered under warranty. Now at 18,000. Only thing I noticed is when driving, I get some flutter in the transmission. Gas mileage is still poor. Found a car wash that can fit my 4Runner in with the roof rack, touchless as well. Looking forward to exploring with it more this summer. Still looks great.

I have owned my 2020 sr5 premium for for 4 months and 6000 miles. I have driven from Arizona to northern Minnesota. Impressions: nice highway driver, quiet enough, very good stereo, excellent visibility. Less impression: power, power, power, but I knew this coming in. This truck needs to be drive in the manual mode in 4th gear at speeds under 80 mph. Once you get acquainted with the engine and gear box it’s a pretty good vehicle. Gas mileage has exceeded expectations , (up to 22.9) through New Mexico. I purchased this truck because of dependability and resale a Value . my wish list would be a stronger engine and tranny, otherwise I believe in buying the best rated truck. I also have a 2002 Tundra sr5 And 2013 RX 350 and I gotta tell You that these are 2 very good vehicles .
