Used 1996 Toyota 4Runner SUV Consumer Reviews
Excellent as expected
The only room for improvement would be its fuel mileage and limited fuel tank size. Otherwise this has been a fantastic SUV that has done it all from hauling family to towing boats and carrying mountain bikes, or all at the same time. I would trade my 4Runner in for a new one if it would be offered as a hybrid.
96' Toyota 4-runner limited remarks
I love my Toyota, its so nice and the re-sale on them is so good!!! I get complements on my 4-runner all the time. This has to the best SUV that any manufacture (SP?) has ever came out with!!!

Bullet Proof!
I now have over 167,000 miles on my 1996 4-Runner, and with routine maintenance I think I can get another 167,000 miles out of it. I have had to replace one wheel bearing in 8 years of service. Other than that, it has been nothing but regularly scheduled maintenance. It even gets over 60,000 miles out of each set of tires. You can't beat that!!
great suv!
wonderful suv! i think that for the money you pay for one of these is worth every penny. i couldn't be happier with the purchase.
4Runner best car ever
This is my first foreign automobile. I have to admit that this is the first auto I've ever had that has been trouble-free. I just love it and wouldn't own any other auto. When I am ready to trade, I'll get another 4 Runner
