Great ride

I spent a fair amount of time comparing sedans in this class. I chose the Subaru because the cabin fit (I'm tall and don't fit in any of the vehicles with moon roofs. After eliminating those this model had the best trim package/cabin fit combo for me.) The sales staff was very friendly, no pressure at all. The price was great and the car looks very stylish. The rear seats fold down, providing more storage width than others in this class. This is my first Subaru, looking forward to many years with it.

I would have given this car a 5 but for the bumpy ride. I was hoping for a smoother ride because of my age and bad back. But I wanted this car because of all the safety devices.

Wanted to Like Wanted to Buy a 24 Legacy

2024 Subaru Legacy Premium 4dr Sedan AWD (2.5L 4cyl CVT)

I narrowed down my search to the 24 Legacy Sport or Premium and 2024 Mazda CX50 Premium reasons I was going with Legacy was it is not a CUV number 1. Also that it is not so common. However it is a terribly slow seller one of the worst of all sedans on the market. Subaru counters this by having very few in stock so they don't negotiate that much and rarely have the model you want on the lot. I did give Subaru and offer on a sport but they did not budge much. Also you can't get backup cameras or the minimum parking sensors in 2024 on a Subaru Sedan... really? I wanted to get the N/A model but with the CVT it is loud and unrefined compared to the Mazda. Also the Infotainment better on Mazda... throw in the ground clearance, hatch more inventory and likely better reliability, fit and finish the Mazda was the one i went with.

The car has good road grip. The starlink system and eyesight are good. I like the driver monitoring system. Fuel efficiency is fabulous

XT Touring worth the etra $$

2022 Subaru Legacy Touring XT 4dr Sedan AWD (2.4L 4cyl Turbo CVT)

I wasn't sure if I wanted to get the smaller engine and save $$ or spring for the XT. The XT Touring has so much packed into it - nappa leather is nice, the seats are comfy (and ventilated). the acceleration is strong, the stereo is clear and the car is QUIET! I am looking forward to many luxurious years with this car. So far the only qualms I have are very minor. (I like the way VW does their trip computer functions better.)
