Used 1994 Subaru Legacy Consumer Reviews
Great car for all times.
Had it since new. Won't trade it off.
100 percent reliable
There's really nothing fancy about this car. But, in 104,000 miles I've not even had to replace a lightbulb. Oil changes every 4000-7000 miles, brake pads, battery and tires. These cars hold there value because they're very well made. Doesn't run like a Porsche but it will get you there safely and reliably. I just can't justify getting rid of the thing...it feels like throwing money away to get somthing more exotic. Did tint the windows and put Impreza WRX sport wheels on it. Not flashy but really, nice looking. Pics sent to you if you're thinking about the same. Paul
I can't believe it's not butter!
I just bought a Turbo wagon that has 153,100 mile son it, and whoever had it before took great care of it. My previous car was a '91 Legacy Wagon with 240,000 on it and it is still kickin. These cars are bullet proof and very modable (especially the Turbo Wagon). I love its handling and 160 hp engine as compred to 130 in the normal engine. Their reliability is the only reason I bought one with 153,100 miles. That wind noise is there, but I'll get that taken care of no big deal.
My soob
I love this car. I've owned it for 14.5 years and it keeps on going. Bought it new in 1995. I've made some repairs. New ABS in 2007, starter, boots, belts, couple of brake jobs, resealed engine seals. All in all a good car and hope I'll have it even longer. I'm tall so the seat leg adjustment at max length is too short with not enough headroom, but I put up with it. Not a very fashionable ride but no car payments! Mileage is about 20-22. Leaky sunroof (repaired once) but not a major problem.
Built to last.
I just got this car this month and it runs great. It has over 205,000 miles on it and I believe it's the original engine. I put some marine carb cleaner in there (the real good stuff), and four new platinum head plugs and it's now a stud. My car is kind of a Frankenstein. It has a 95 tranny and bits and pieces from other Suburbs. So far so good. Many parts were replaced on this right hand drive model, as rural mail routes, constant starting and stopping, are rough on all cars. I had the timing belt, water pump, and thermostat replaced. The head seals are fine. It goes up hills easily. Surprisingly fast. Faster than my Accord.
