Used 2004 Subaru Impreza Consumer Reviews
Best Bang for the buck performance
If you want a car that performs like a 60,000 dollar car for half the price this is it. Let me tell you this car is a champ with the background of a championship winning car in the World Rally Championship. A lot of the features are derived from the actual rally car. It handles awesome and accelerates awesome. This car will beat most European cars on the road easily. You will laugh at most stock Japanese cars.
Fun wagon
I shopped around for something w/awd, with decent gas mileage, and some good power for around 25K.This is it! Fun to drive, great safety, decent room for ski or golf gear. Got the short throw shifter, autodim mirror, arm rest ext. (should be standard), bumper cover, extended warr. All for the price I expected. I'm very happy so far, with exception of the stereo.

Subaru Homerun
Still breaking engine in but already amazed by this car's potential. Hard to depress gas more than half an inch and not go over 4000 rpm. Excellent powerband in all 6 gears. Subtle yet powerful-sounding rumble from exhaust. My WRX sportwagon was an eyeopener, but this car soars to new heights!
Wow...
I love this car. Last week I had an 2003 Acura NSX race me, he could not belive why he was behind me. lol Everyone that looks at dosen't belive how fast it is untill I take them for a ride, afterword they are just blown away. Its about time the STi came here!
Not perfect, but getting close...
So far so good, and with Michigan winter coming, we'll really know for sure. This car replaces our Jeep Wrangler - seems light-years different, I know - but not really! The Outback Sport has WAY MORE luggage and passenger space, is vastly more comfortable on long trips, and uses a LOT LESS fuel. But we never took the Jeep on anything worse than reasonably smooth dirt roads (lots of camping), and the Subaru tromps over those even more comfortably. But I wish it were just a little roomier in the very back. The "styled" hatch really cuts into cargo space.
